Cask conditioned @ The Black Boy, Winchester. Pale copper. Lightly malty aromas with a slight toffee/biscuity aspect. Some general herbal hop aromas which may have came from the Watercress added - although when I drank it I didnt realise any unusual ingredients had been added. Slightly sweet with a relexed bitterness. This was quite pleasant but the sweet malty focus based on pale malts doesn’t really excite me.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2007 Impressively lacy half at The Merchant Beer Festival, Rugby. Slight yellowish haze. Opens with an unsubtle gust of watercress pepperiness. And that’s not a hop metaphor, it’s the real thing. Not unpleasant, but completely one-dimensional. A touch of biscuity afters. Sourish. Zzzz. Bonus point for stirring something unusual into the mash tun.
