Cask conditioned @ JDW, Winchester. Pale golden with lasting head. Citric fruits and peppery hops. Some malt sweetness which quickly fades to leave a delicious raw hop bitterness.

Copper brown, small brownish head. Sweet, hoppy nose with molasses. Nicely balanced English hops in the mouthfeel, a bit spicey. Body is a bit thin which on the other hand makes this to a nice session beer.

(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 26 April 2008) Dark amber colour with brief, off-white head. Malty nose with dried fruit, biscuity malt and hints of sulphur. Malty taste with notes of dried fruit (apricots), caramel and dusty hops in the finish. Medium body, smooth mouthfeel, moderate bitterness. Decent enough, but leaning in the boring direction.

Cask @ JDW, Holborn. Amber colour, foamy head. Nice malty aroma with earthy hops and a sweetish smell. Bit spicy with good toasty / malty taste. Dry on the finish.
