Aroma remeniscent of an English Pale Ale. Big head that shrinks to nothing quickly with minimal lacing. Body color is just as adverstised, amber. A nice hoppy beer upfront with the malts coming through in the long finish.

Growler from the brewery. 2007 version. Light chestnut brown with a moderately thick beige head. Aroma of flowery hops, walnuts, and a slight fruitiness. Pretty hoppy for an Amber, slightly citrusy upfront with pine tar in the finish. Sweet nuttiness throughout, with just a hint of roastiness, though that may be a combination of the nuttiness and the pine playing tricks on me.

This amber's got a hop/caramel aroma. The flavor is nicely balanced with hop flavor and malt, the bitterness isn't severe. Very pleasant.

Fairly dark amber colour with a perfect sized light tan head - spot on for the style! Aroma consists of hop pellets, mushrooms and a bit of yeast - ODD! Medium-bodied; Hoppy taste with some astringent characteristics and a strong malt background. Aftertaste shows almost nothing but a mild hop and malt taste. Overall, about average for the style. Not great, nor bad! I bought this twelve ounce bottle from Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and sampled it on 2-October-2003.

Sampled at Craft beer store (Ithaca night) Reddish pour with aromas of Mild Hop and caramel malt. A little thin for my tastes but it was an easy beer to drink.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 muzzlehatch (4425) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - APR 28, 2004
12 oz bottle. Medium copper, quite clear; massive forever-lasting head...gushing, in fact (infection? uh oh). Light grapefruity aroma with a bit of chewy woody malt. Odd but interesting flavor -- cherry cola comes to mind, and a bit of oakiness, grapefruit near the end. Medium body, too sweet and odd overall...doesn’t really work though I give it points for creativity.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Holdwine (1016) - Beertimore, Maryland, USA - SEP 3, 2002
Pretty average amber ale. The bottle I tried was slightly watery. It had some decent malt work. Nice amber color. Flowery and fruity nose. But missing the wow appeal that the other raters found.

sweet, very sweet. not much hop in this, nor is there much aroma. it’s a "drink all night" beer, because it’s not very interesting and it won’t get you very drunk, and that’s the best that can be said about this one.

Aroma is vile. Smells like vomit. Pours a cloudy copper/amber with a huge off-white head. Watery with sweetness in the middle. Watery finish with puke aftertaste. This is hideous.
