hopdog (5526), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 2, 2006 12oz bottle. Poured a light to medium and hazy yellow color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of mainly strong apricots. Tastes of lighter apricots, wheat, and fruity. Medium sweet with a thin body. jackel314 (4), USA does not count Sep 11, 2006 Had on tap. this beer smells pleaseant but the taste is overpoweringly fruity crazyvin (1245), New York, USA Sep 4, 2006 a sample. It had apricot aroma masking a light bread like note. Poured a straw yellow color maybe a little more golden. taste was initally wheat, and mild wheat at that, but a mild apricot flavor finished out which kinda seemed forced, as it seemed to linger in after taste for a while.
glad it was only a sample. JFURYCAT (782), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 4, 2006 This is a bit too wet. I like the sweet dry apricots but the wheat flavor does not seem to mesh well. I realize this is a predominately wheat beer but it smacks a bit on a bitter barley side for me. blankboy (3157), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 4, 2006 Bottle. Right off the bat I must say I quite like apricots so I’m predisposed to liking this. Pours a clear pale yellow-gold with lots of bubbles and a small diminishing white head. Mild aroma is mostly apricots followed by grain along with some yeast and faint hops -- just O.K. Slightly watery flavour starts with a big apricot taste followed by wheat and light hops in the finish. Light bodied. For what it is it’s decent, it would make a pleasant summer patio beer -- overall it’s just average. beerbill (1918), Laurel, New York, USA Sep 4, 2006 On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear yellow/gold with a white head. The beer is filtered, so much of the aroma and flavor associated with a typical wheat beer is not present in this brew. This beer has a pleasant aroma of fresh apricots. The apricots also come through in the flavor. Very easy to drink. A nice summer beer. Lubiere (4463), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Aug 27, 2006 Lightly hazed blonde with a thin white head. Light clean apricot aroma. In moouth, a smooth apricot ale, but the fruit is rather artificial. Light bodied quaffer. Free taster. August 26,2006 at Greene’s Tavern. Darkover (1308), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 23, 2006 Sampled at the Odds and Ends Tasting at Dogbrick’s. Golden color with a small beige head. Apricot aroma. Very strong apricot flavor.
