DeeBee21 (44), NH, New Hampshire, USA Aug 25, 2009 Hazy golden orange pour, thin almost not existent head. yeasty, with a very fresh sweet apricot aroma. Taste is very similar. The yeast and fruity apricot at front that holds out to a little fruity spice at the finish. Very easily drinkable and refreshing great in the warm weather. A reliable pleasure of mine. JaBier (1130), Capital City, Ohio, USA Aug 22, 2009 Bottle sample. Cloudy orange pour with no head. Wheaty aroma with sugar and fruit. Sugary apricot flavor with a hint of welcome tartness. shigadeyo (2210), Harrison, Ohio, USA Jul 22, 2009 7/22/2009: Ithaca Apricot Wheat has a fresh, ripe apricot aroma. The beer is a golden yellow color, mostly cloudy, and capped with a small off-white head. The flavor is lightly sweet and fruity with a yeasty middle accented by apricot and then it finished with a delicately spiced wheatiness. This beer is medium-light but still smooth and has enough body to be satisfying. Overall it is refreshing, balanced, and has enough apricot to be pleasing without distracting from the characteristics of the wheat ale.
12 fl. oz. bottle (Best Before: October 2009) from Tmoney99. Thanks Tom! Rating #174 for this beer.
smooch (95), Sylvania, Ohio, USA Jul 20, 2009 This is pretty good. Not amazing, but the apricot is there and still some beer flavor. Seems to change quickly when it warms. unclemike (834), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Jul 17, 2009 tap Light yellow, clear pour with virtually no head. Thin nose of apriocots, bread and other citrus. Really thin taste, though not too sweet which is the downfall of others in the style. Slight bitter finish PilsnerPeter (2598), Flushing, New York, USA Jul 14, 2009 Tap at Barcade: Hazy light golden with a white film of head. Mild aroma of light pale grains- a touch of fruity esters and soft subtle apricot (not overwhelming or sweet). Soft velvety carbonation. Mild flavor as well. Some soft apricot flavors mesh with grainy wheat notes and muted yeast flavors. More grains are apparent on the back (a bit cereal like). Simple, vague and macro feeling. jblendy (518), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Jul 9, 2009 Pours copper golden with a small white head. Aroma is nice and fruity, but overall a bit cloying. Same goes for the flavor, and I’ve found this with all apricot based beers so far. The apricot is certainly present, but quickly becomes a bit sharp and cloying. Palate is slightly tart and a bit acidic.
