Commercial Description:
An easy-drinking wheat beer is light in color and body...perfect for the warmer weather. In crafting this fine ale, we add many pounds of real apricot fruit to create a "secondary fermentation." This creates a gentle wheat beer with just a hint of apricot flavor in the finish. A very drinkable, mildly fruity ale.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours a clear gold with a small, white ring. Aroma of burnt hair, DMS and dried apricot with a slight note of fruity gummy bears. Taste is soda like with a bit of apricot fruit and light DMS. Light bubbles and a dry mouthfeel.

(Rating #2130)

Draft at The Local, West Newton. Pours a bright red color with a small off white foamy head. Nose is very sweet, light apricot and some caramel. Palate is thin with a fizzy essence to it. Flavors are mostly sweet sugary notes, some apricot, hints of caramel. Overall its not as bad as I was anticipating. It wasnt watered down and wasnt overly fake fruity.

This was the remainder of the sampler pack from Ithica and they sat on the shelf in the basement looking at me for a bit. I tried the first at cellar temperature, Uggh that was a mistake. With this the apricot was prevelant but did no justice to the brew which was flat and lifeless. I poured the remainder of the glass out, tossed the others into the fridge and hoped for the best. I looked at them for a few weeks and finally got tired of moving them about when searching for peanut butter. A cold fruit infused wheat beer that was actually enjoyable. Decently balanced and the wheat malts beccame recognizable and well defined. A sweet ending. Would have scored higher if not for my first experiencce in the cellar.

This wheat beer poured a clear light yellow colour with a rocky, white head. To the nose there are scents of apricots and cream. First taste is slightlu over-carbonatred with flavours of apricots and cream. Finish is slightly watery with the apricot lingering. Palate is almost oily with nothing but the flavour of apricots.
