Upstate NY still rocking the 1990s beers I see. Cloudy tan with no head. The aroma and colour have an apricot bent, definitely syrup or essence. Fairly clean, and it doesn’t really go with the golden ale base, but it’s far from awful.

UPDATED: NOV 29, 2009 12oz bottle-pours a big off white head and hazy yellow color. Aroma is lemon, OK some apricot, bready. Taste – I want to say sour/tart fruit, but over taken by BAD. Yeast, metallic/spice hops. Taste is thin but mouth feel has some syrupy. Thanks jwc215 for picking this up. Will try to do this again.

20th August 2008. Pale gold beer with a very slight haze. Low carbonation. Clean but watery beer with a tepid apricot flavour. Inoffensive but too watery and yet another in a long line of dissapointing fruit wheat beers. Somebody muct crack this style?

Bottle from Half Time. Pours slightly hazy gold with a foamy white head. Mild apricot aroma. Med minus body. Flavor is a bit sharp - suggesting citrus or perhaps unripe fruit. Apricot is the flavor, but it’s not all heavy like the one from Pyramid. Finishes towards dry and tart.

Bottle… Mostly clear, golden ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Lots of apricot and pale grain in the aroma. The fruity, buttery flavor tips toward the sweet side of balance. Light to medium-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. More sweet apricot and buttery diacetyl in the lengthy finish. Spent grain taste at the very end. Cheers to growler for splitting his bottle with me!
