Dark red with zero visible carbonation and a thick pancake batter coloured head. Aroma: Pineapple and sweet hops, caramel and a little pine and some floral notes too. Flavour: Bitter (yet not too bitter) hops, malt definitely coming through, grapefruit hiding in there also with a nice long dry and sweet finish. Enjoyable. Thanks Paul :-) rds (226), USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 3, 2009 Bottle Pours a good reddish amber with a small off white head. The head produces nice lacing. It is a very good looking beer. The first hit of the aroma is of crisp hops. Then the sweetness starts to hit the nose. Has a strong carbination but its good. A nice moutheel. Taste is a nice hoppy bitterness, but not too bitter. Has a good blend and hides the alcohol very well. A light to medium body. Has a good finish. It not the strongest IPA but its good. 21iceman40 (1731), vienna, West Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 5, 2009 Very nice dark reddish brown hue to this one. Big time hop aroma, huge, and floral and kinda wet, but not citrus. Very smooth rounded bitterness, not nearly as bitter as I though it would be after getting a hint of the aroma. Solid red ipa. Good for session drinking. nbutler11 (741), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 30, 2009 Bonus bottle courtesy of blipp. Pours a deep amber color with mild carbonation and a trim beige head. Smells and tastes of crisp hops, caramel, aromatic citrus blossom, and faint notes of red grapes and apples. Drys slightly on the finish, but a fine beer that I would regularly drink if I could. checkmatei1 (630), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 27, 2009 Pours orange mahogany into a shaker. Fluffy micro head with excellent retention leaves spot lacing as it barely recedes. Citrus and resin aromas. Creamy caramel upfront, turning medium and soft in the middle yet crisp in the dry grapefruit finish. Nicely balance ride. j12601 (1231), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
