ReademNwheat (174), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 10, 2008 From a bottle. Pours a amber color with off white head. Big aromas of citrusy, floral hops and some sweet malts. More of the same in the taste. great tasting hoppy beer. If you’re into hops a fresh one of these is what you need to drink. HighlanderOne (538), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA Aug 9, 2008 Poured from bottle. Hop city in aroma. Bronze, coarse tan head. Lotsa hop and lotsa malt in flavor. The sweet malt and the hops is a winning combination. Very nice finish. I liked this one a lot. unclemike (834), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Aug 8, 2008 medium white head, dark, reddish amber body. aromas of grapefruit, lychee/litchi, pine, vanilla, and something floral.. more artificial floral maybe. citrusy, slightly sweet, and a bit spicy (like arugula). flavor is a bit one-dimensional, and the body is pretty thin, but quite drinkable nonetheless. LilBeerDoctor (1480), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 8, 2008 Bottle, best by 10/2008. Pours a dark brown/amber with a small white head. Aroma of bitter hops and light sweet malt. Flavor is pretty similar- nice light sweet malt (quite malty for an IPA) and light, slightly piney hops. Not so hoppy for an IPA per se; it flirts with being an amber ale, ASA, and IPA. Regardless of classification, it was a decent brew and pretty tasty. fredandboboflo (1395), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 8, 2008 Bottle, best by 10/08. Aroma of semi-bitter hops, semi-sweet malt. Flavor has nice bittering hops with a fairly rich malt base. Not really an IPA, more of a strong amber/weak ASA. Pretty tasty, well made, but kind of boring. Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 8, 2008 Bottle from Joshua and Buck in Ithaca, NY--Poure da semi-cloudy amber body with a big off-white head. Lots of chewy caramel in the nose as well as gummy sticky hops. Still didn’t get as hoppy as I was hoping considering the name. Not too bad, though. notalush (2628), Denver, Colorado, USA Aug 3, 2008 Clear ruby beer, with a moderate lace - thick caramel malt aroma, with strong notes of rye and caraway, and a strong hop presence - taste of rye bread, seeds, cracked grains - quite bready throughout, with strong hops coming through near the finish - rye bread is pretty much the best descriptor for this beer - it tastes pretty good, though. Brewbie (217), New York, USA Jul 21, 2008 growler. light ruby color, small lasting head. strong hop aroma. nice balance of hops and malts, with a piney hop bite at the finish
