wcampbell (572), Central, South Carolina, USA Jul 19, 2008 Decent. Strong hoppy flavor without too much balance. All citrus hop flavor. No hint of alcohol. Medium bodied. Bitter taste and finish. Not especially drinkable. By far the best offering in the variety pack. Not the best IPA at all. metsbcd (82), Connecticut, USA Jul 15, 2008 The label stopped me from buying it for a while, as I thought that there was no way something that looks like that can actually be good. The beer ended up being pretty solid. Nihon (239), Vernon, Connecticut, USA Jul 12, 2008 Dark amber, semi-sweet floral hoppy malty aroma. Flavor is very strong of hops(duh) , bitterness is not too overwhelming but does give you a kick. Nicely balanced, recommended for Hop-Heads! Slipstream (734), USA Jul 7, 2008 Updated: May 14, 2009The label looks like it belongs on a video game. Full, hoppy aroma. Rich pine and grapefruit flavored hops (Cascade). Solid malt backing. A fine IPA. I tried it on tap too, and it was very good, full flavored and rich. Tweety (337), Vancouver, Washington, USA Jun 25, 2008 ACBF 2008. Pretty good actually, wasn’t expecting too much from it going in, but a solid IPA. mj (4975), Colorado, USA Jun 22, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours dark orange/rusty red color, makes me scared of caramel malt, but honestly there’s little smell or flavor of that dreaded ingredient. It has a nose of fresh, sticky, green C-note hops, somewhat dry and parched at times, not exactly damp and dank, but more of a fruity, dry pine wood scent. Flavor is rich, frothy, fresh, fruity Cascades, along with a sweetened apple crumb and bready flavor to compliment the assertively dry and fruity hops... green, fresh, really delicious. The dominant note is fresh red apple skins. Moderately dry on the palate with a medium body. Very good.
obxdude10 (1547), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 5, 2008 A very unimpressive IPA, just about brown in color with an off-white head, no lacing left behind, the aroma was a little sweet with some caramel & chocolate hints, the body was light & watery, only a subtle flavor of hops was present, they could have taken some of the hops of their Pils & added it to this beer, it could definitely use a lot more, the finish was bready & only slightly dry & bitter, definitely a poor IPA afireinside96 (817), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 3, 2008 Updated: Jun 22, 200812oz bottle served in a Duvel glass. Deep amber-red in color with a nice tan head on top. Smells of fruity cascade hops and some chocolate, a really wonderful combination. Flavor is citrus, sweet chocolate, and a bit of pine. One of the more balanced IPAs that I have had. Very nice.
