There is a good dose of crystal malt that adds a nice cookie texture to the beer. The cascades are well represented, but not out of balance. joshwilfong (778), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 24, 2007 a red pale ale? does not work. sweetness eliminates the hoppyness. and it ends up just creamy. doesn’t work at all MarkBarnes (266), Waterville, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 24, 2007 Aug. 24, 2007; 12 oz. bottle sampled in a Trappist glass. Never heard of this one -- caught my eye at an Upstate NY supermarket. Reddish-caramel-colored, minimal head/lacing. Aroma & flavor is appropriately hoppy, but the "bottom end" of this is wanting, and the finish is a bit watery. Could be the poorer cousin of SN’s Celebration Ale. An above-average beer nonetheless, and a good find so close to home. zebracakes (1214), Washington DC, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 16, 2007 Pours a clear reddish amber color with a small white head. Aroma of cascade hops, caramel malt and sweet pine. Taste is hoppy with hints of sweet pine, caramel and a floral finish. Nice IPA. MrBendo (1042), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 14, 2007 Bottle. Ruby color with a small head. Aroma of caramel malts and citrus and pine hops. Very balanced taste; and it has a pretty good, fruity/IPA flavor. But it’s a bit thin. Dry finish. A lot of the elements are there, but the thin texture keeps this from rating higher. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 11, 2007 Bottle. Pour is a reddish brown and aromas are definitely Cascade hops based. Pine and grapefruit dominate, but there is a bit of a malt sweetness underlying. Flavor shows an unbalance... there is not enough of a malt structure to support that much hops and it comes off as lopsided. Then again, if you want a hops drink, this is for you.
