3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 cloudstrife (50) - Rochester, New York, USA - MAR 6, 2008
Bottle, poured a clean red/brown with a yellowish-white head. I would say an excellent addition to those who like IPA’s or those who think that IPA’s are too bitter.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 feedmec00kies (49) - New York, New York, USA - MAY 14, 2006
UPDATED: OCT 13, 2006 medium white head, dark, reddish amber body. aromas of grapefruit, lychee/litchi, pine, vanilla, and something floral.. more artificial floral maybe. citrusy, slightly sweet, and a bit spicy (like arugula). flavor is a bit one-dimensional, and the body is pretty thin, but quite drinkable nonetheless.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 ealdent (48) - Cumming, Georgia, USA - AUG 26, 2007
Reddish with off-white, thick head. Caramel malt is present in the aroma and heavy in the taste. Cascade hops are prevalent but dissipate before the finish leaving each drink feeling like something is missing. Quite drinkable, though.
3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 fogdoctor (41) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 10, 2010
Cold in a pint glass. Pours a beautiful red color with a small head that quickly gives way to lingering lacing. The nose is all fresh hops with a nice hint of orange/grapefruit. Has a malty start and strong bitter IPA finish that lingers as a seedy/bitter bite beyond the innate bitterness of the hops. I think it could do with more malt to balance the finish but I did like it overall. It has good mouth feel but the seed like bitterness could be improved. Its an interesting beer that I would get again but it would be a bad choice for your first IPA. On the other hand, if you like IPAs, its an interesting departure from the usual.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Wild4mild (37) - USA - AUG 27, 2006
Bottle from Thaichile. Dark copper color. Minimal head. Pleasant balance between sweetness and hoppiness. An IPA that I could drink more than one of without getting fatigued by the hops.

Bottle, poured a nice frothy head. good amber color. Medium body thin texture doesn’t overpower the senses. hoppy with a subtle sweetness. No, it isn’t "monstrously hoppy" as the bottle claims, but it’s a great tasting hoppy red ale nonetheless.

Bottled. Poured dark red, has a light brown head, that dissappeared pretty fast. Aroma is hops. Taste is pretty hoppy & floral, as advertised. Finishes a little on the dry side, too. I enjoyed it!!
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Barley69 (26) - Rochester, New York, USA - NOV 18, 2005
tasty little beer. i like the color combined with the aroma - i brewed a better beer with santiam hops. this is well done though. i imagine they hurried this beer along. some microbreweries just love pumping out beer. ie custom brewcrafters. does not taste like 6.5% which is nice. sneeks up on you.
i’m ranting bye

Tasted at NY TAP festival. The best hop aroma of any ale I tasted today, this brew has a satisfying mouthfeel, and all the hops that a hophead like me could desire! I compare it to the great double red ales of my native Pacific Northwest!
3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Melanie (25) - - MAR 3, 2012
Unfortunately served too cold. Nice, malty balanced ale. I have tasted this at the brewery in New York, so I know this is a winner. It's too bad many bars don't get that serving the beer ice cold is not best.
