3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sample at Hal & Alís during the Pumpkin Beer Tasting on 10/15/2013: Clear orange-amber pour with a medium foamy off-white head that diminishes slowly. Sticky rings of lacing. Malt, pumpkin and caramel in the nose. Light to medium body with flavors of toasted malt, nutmeg and cinnamon. The finish is sweet with a ginger and pumpkin aftertaste. Decent overall.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Clear amber color, medium white head. Aroma of ginger, cinnamon, light gourd. Spice is not overwhelming in the taste, but not too exciting either. Decent enough.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
draft, beer poured a murky orange color, small white head, no lacing. The aroma of pumpkin, nutmeg and a hint of toasted caramel. The flavor was sweet caramel, bread, cinnamon and nutmeg. Long sweet pumpkin finish. Medium bodied, lacking a something. Beer could use a little tweaking. decent

On draft at Bacchus, following a nice spin along the Walkill Valley Rail Trail. I recommend both the trail and stopping in at Bacchus. Lots of clove (or is that allspice? I donít see clove in the description) plus some cinnamon and pumpkin. Nicely balanced, and one of the better pumpkin brews imo.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle from the Beer Shoppe in East Longmeadow MA. This one has all the typical pumpkin-pie spices, but nothing is overpowering it. As it warms up, the pumpkin puree and hint of hops are creeping up. This is way more balanced than every other pumpkin beer on the market this year.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle. Pours a hazy copper color with a tight short white head. The aroma is of the pumpkin pie spices; cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and light clove, allspice. Taste has caramel malt sweetness upfront followed by the flavors of the pumpkin and the pumpkin pie spices of cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg. There is a very light bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled. Poured medium orange with a short toasted marshmallow head. The aroma picked up sweet pumpkin and vanilla paired with nutmeg and a touch of cinnamon.. quite nice. The flavor found watery pumpkin meat and bready notes at the core with more nutmeg and cinnamon around.. prickly carbonation and some prickly carbonation on the weak finish. Light-bodied with mostly spicage on the palate.. this just needed more substance.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice pumpkin aroma. Some spice but mostly authentic pumpkin aroma. Taste is well balanced full flavored. Almost like a nice Octoberfest with pumpkin. Like this one a lot for a pumpkin. Very drinkable.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Best before November of 2013.
Appearance: The body is a clear amber with a tall tan head that is very short lived, quickly settling into a thin ring and a sparse coating.
Aroma: No surprise, this smells like most pumpkin beer. A medley of spices with this one focusing on allspice, cinnamon, and a hint of nutmeg, perhaps a hint of brown sugar and some ginger, but this is pretty run of the mill.
Taste: The flavor is a step down from most pumpkin beers Iíve had. This has a prominent unsalted Saltine cracker malt presence which is surrounded by hints of apple, cinnamon and ginger, but overall this is a bit watery and forgettable. The finish is quick and boring.
Palate: Light to medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation.
Overall: This beer misses on a lot of marks for me. The body is thin, too much carbonation, no sweet malt backing, and typical pumpkin spice aroma that becomes tiring after the third of the season. I wish I had avoided this as itís one of the worst Iíve had, but at least I get a rating out of it.
