Nice pumpkin aroma. Some spice but mostly authentic pumpkin aroma. Taste is well balanced full flavored. Almost like a nice Octoberfest with pumpkin. Like this one a lot for a pumpkin. Very drinkable.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Best before November of 2013.
Appearance: The body is a clear amber with a tall tan head that is very short lived, quickly settling into a thin ring and a sparse coating.
Aroma: No surprise, this smells like most pumpkin beer. A medley of spices with this one focusing on allspice, cinnamon, and a hint of nutmeg, perhaps a hint of brown sugar and some ginger, but this is pretty run of the mill.
Taste: The flavor is a step down from most pumpkin beers Iíve had. This has a prominent unsalted Saltine cracker malt presence which is surrounded by hints of apple, cinnamon and ginger, but overall this is a bit watery and forgettable. The finish is quick and boring.
Palate: Light to medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation.
Overall: This beer misses on a lot of marks for me. The body is thin, too much carbonation, no sweet malt backing, and typical pumpkin spice aroma that becomes tiring after the third of the season. I wish I had avoided this as itís one of the worst Iíve had, but at least I get a rating out of it.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Nose is sweet malt with mild pumpkin and spice overload - nutmeg, allspice, lesser cinnamon and ginger. Pours a neon and lightly hazy orange with short beige head. Crisp fullish body is relatively dry, some sweetish malt but not a ton of it, relatively thin flavor profile with suppressed hops and thankfully restrained spice additions (which seem to mostly have impacted the nose), though those spices are as clear as day. Pumpkin comes out more with volume and contemplation, smidgen of vanilla, trace of gummy yeast slurry along with pleasant mild clover honey. I learned to appreciate this more by the time I reached the bottom of the glass -- itís about par for the course as far as these things go, but fresh and even spot-hitting.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Ar: Classic pumpkin spice, sweet cinnamon and nutmeg - toasted caramel.
Ap: Clear orange-amber - medium off-white head with good retention, leaves suds and a thin film of lacing.
T: Pumpin spice, with some sweet caramel backing - soapy - low bitterness - finish is more pumpkin spice, some artificial sweetener flavor.
P: Medium body with medium-high carbonation - finish is dry.
O: Some promise on the nose, and some decent flavors, but it falls flat ultimately - the artificial sweetener and soapy flavors detract.

The pumpkin was hiding somewhere, it certainly wasnít in my glass. Flavor and aroma were lacking but it did drink very smooth. This brew misses the mark

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle, best before October 2013. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a clear orange/amber color with about a half inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. The brew smells like pumpkin spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger) and pumpkin. Taste is the same as the aroma, it tastes like pumpkin spices and pumpkin. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, itís a bit slick and has moderate carbonation. I think itís a solid pumpkin beer, but not one of my favorites. Still, I wonít have any problems finishing this sixer. $9.99 a six-pack.

12 ounce thanks to Ed. Amber. Lots of nutmeg and cinnamon. Very much a pumpkin beer. Bit of brown sugar carries taste to the end.

Pours clear orange into a shaker. White head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Sweet nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger aromas. Thin with pumpkin upfront turning dry in lasting nutmeg finish.

My first pumpkin beer of the season so I canít start complaining yet. And this oneís actually decent with nice integration of clove, ginger and gourd. Pours orange with a little head and lacing. Average carbonation. Finishes slightly sweet from malt and spice. Tap at brewpub.
