Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have a decent pumpkin character, spices that grow with warming, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice with a splash of caramel. The body is a touch thin, but generally this is ok for a pumpkin beer.

Bottle: Slightly hazy, amber, with a short, beige head. Cola, pumpkin, crust aroma. Taste is flaky pie crust, pumpkin, nutmeg. Rich, sweet, caramel malt. Easygoing, but tasty............ better than expected.

Bottle. Pours a nice healthy tab brown color with a head that fades. Sweet cinnamon taste with a hint of spice. Decent as it warms up and doesnt taste as artificial. ok

12oz bottle pours a slightly hazy, burnt orange with a ring of sticky, slightly off white head. Nose is what you’d expect, cinnamon, nutmeg, some brown sugar, some white pepper, some roasted squash, a little candy. Flavor follows right along, canned pumpkin puree, cinnamon, brown sugar, ginger, all spice. Spicy finish. What you’d expect.

Draft at Moriartys. Clear dark orange pour. Head disappeared quickly. Nicely juicy. Pumpkin Pie spice is there but thankfully not the focus here. Soft carbonation. Pleasant balanced malts. Beats other Pumpkin Beers by determinedly not going over the top.

Tap sample. Poured clear hazy orange amber color with an average off-white frothy head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid pumpkin and spice. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium balanced pumpkin and spice sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid seasonal beer.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2014 Spicy aroma but wasn’t overwhelming. Appearance looked the same as other pumpkin ales. not much pumpkin flavor and didnt go over the top with spices(which i actually enjoy). I would drink this year round as it is sweeter than others and not as much pumpkin flavor. Prob 4th or 5th best of the 8 different pumpkin beers ive had this year.

Poured a dark cloudy amber with a thin head. Strong aroma of pumpkin with a bit of cinnamon. Taste very much the same. Pumpkin is definitely not hidden or masked by spices or malt flavors. Very smooth and light with a sweet finish.

On tap at Dutch’s... First pour from the keg. Completely cloudy kind of light brown color (which I’m sure will clear out in subsequent pours). Thin off-white head, leaving great thicker lace. Up front in the nose, great pumpkin, pumpkin spice, and a bit of citrusy hop aroma. In the flavor, a pretty impressive malt balance... Good chocolate, mild caramel, and a bit of that honey malt in there. Medium plus body.. Very smooth and easy-drinking. Crisp lighter carbonation, light chewiness to the body, more dry finish. Kind of a spicier taste towards the finish, mild to moderate bitterness, moderate sweet taste. Pretty solid, enjoyable pumpkin ale. Up front, I was loving this. It was my first pumpkin beer of the year, so my palate was ready. Maybe I needed a beer too, at the moment. Halfway through the spice started to show up a lot more and grind on the overall package a bit, and I slowed down. Still a very a solid, enjoyable pumpkin beer.
