Country Pumpkin is our medium-bodied harvest ale brewed with a medley of flavorful malt, pumpkin puree, Magnum hops and a touch of seasonal spices. The masterful blend of 2-Row, Vienna, Munich, Caramunich and Honey malt with Magnum hops balances the sweet pumpkin with an aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and allspice to create a rich, malty ale for the autumn season.

Tap. Pours a clear orangish gold body with a small fizzy white head. Big spice and pumpkin nose with lots of cinnamon and nutmeg, some decent pumpkin meat. The flavor is pretty well balanced, not over spiced, not overly sweet. Nice meaty flavor up front, finishes a bit heavy on the cinnamon though perhaps. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and almost creamy with soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty nice Pumpkin Ale, they didnít overdo it on the spice.

Bottle. Clear gold with a thin off white head. Aroma and taste are both straight pumpkin pie. Taste does add a little bready malt which reinforces the "pie" aspect. Medium mouthfeel and carb with a short finish. I doubt I'll ever really love a pumpkin beer but this is certainly in the upper echelon.

Never one to pass up a new seasonal I grabbed an affordable single at the local store. While it may not have the depth or punch of some other fall harvest ales the result is good enough for a brewery like Ithaca. Just what I expected this is one to try fresh.

Aroma / Appearance - Mild carbonation and head bob in the creamy mandarin orange base. Nutmeg, cool whip, spices, sweet almonds, and more create the fell of a humid late summer afternoon.

Flavor / Palate - Spices include cinnamon and nutmeg. A burst of pumpkin is heavy on the earthy squash. Fluid pie filling wraps up a solid experience. Not overly deep this is still a fine way to pass the time. If you are in Ithacaís market grab one next year alongside some other pumpkin ales.

Pours a slightly clouded reddish brown. Aroma is spicy and malty with a definite ginger note to it. The flavor has a prominent ginger note to it, with the pumpkin "funkiness" right behind that. Other spices are present but take a definite back seat. There is a kind of molasses or brown sugar sourness to the flavor, too. The finish is dry and mildly bitter. Itís a better-than-average pumpkin ale but not my favorite. I tend to prefer those which are more sweet than dry, more spicy than not, and minimally bitter. Still, itís a solid pumpkin beer and one Iím happy to drink.

[Bottle (355ml).] Pours a hazy, very bubbly orange-copper with a small diminishing fizzy white head. Aroma of pumpkin pie spices and malt along with a hint of pumpkin and thatís pretty much it. Slightly watery flavour of spices, pumpkin, caramel malt and a moderate spicy finish. Light to average bodied. A decent Pumpkin Ale.

10/26/13 bottle given to me from Troy about a month before and it sat in my fridge. Got sick of looking at it so finally drank it while watching Hopkins fight after a dinner at wasabi. Anyway... Last year I chased the pumpkins and this year I've finally got bored with this. This one seemed almost like an Oktoberfest with slight pumpkin added to it. Spices weren't overwhelming (which was good). Didn't have that over the top spice, sweetness thing going for it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
