Thank you Mike Benz. Pours dark thick coffee dirty with a dark her hue and a tiny dark caramel head which dissipates super quickly. Aroma is fabulous even at five years old bringing sweet and roasted coffee and great nutty peanut buttery notes. The flavor brings bitter and coffee malts with a bit if sweetness as it settles. No more lactose from the milk so the body may have thinned out a bit.

Bottle shared by levi, pours a very dark brown with a thin tannish head, the aroma still has a decent amount of coffee on the nose with a little bit of chocolate, the flavor has more chocolate on the front end and the coffee isnít as strong as the aroma, still solid though.

750ml bottle, that had apparently leaked at some point in itís life... Batch E!016. Dark brown color. Pretty decent bigger brown head, though no lace really sticks. Nice coffee in the nose. Some dark fruit, little roast malt. Some earthy flavors. Light spice. Moderate sweet taste. Lighter, but good bit of bitter. Surprisingly flavorful for a leaky years-old bottle. Good, kind of robust rich coffee stout. Much better than expected.

Bottle shared by levifunk...thanks Levi! - Pours black with no head. Nose is vanilla, light coffee grounds, and some milkiness. Taste is pretty good--this has held up surprisingly well. Iím guessing this was awesome fresh, as the coffee is muted and has a light nuttiness. Milky and sweet, with a mocha finish. Medium thin with nice carbonation.

Pours stout black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, and hint of dark fruit. Lots of coffee flavor with roasted malt, dark chocolate, and some vanilla. Very nice beer.

A fine example of a stout, this beer is a great way to celebrate an anniversary. While I wish I still had easy access to Ithacaís line up there is enough of a backlog that I wonít miss their releases for a while. Eventually though I may have to figure out how to grab some of their more common bottles.
Aroma / Appearance - A deep chocolately brown body pours lazily into the snifter. Idle pockets of carbonation pop out from time to time. Coffee, dark chocolate, plums, and smoke tickle the senses. The total feel is cohesive and well considered.
Flavor / Palate - Plum, coffee, chocolate, and a milky texture flow easily across the palate. The taste hangs around for a while. Although it is starting to lose its edge it should be good to drink for a few months if well kept. Even so I would not want to hang on to any extra bottles longer than necessary.

750 ml bottle purchased at Root Cellar several years ago. Pours a deep chocolate brown, basically opaque but a more natural brown around the edges, with minimal khaki head. The aroma is very, very earthy; the coffee has pretty much fallen out but there is some roast, along with vegetal notes. The flavor has a little more smoothness to the roast, along with chocolate, earth, faint vegetal notes, and light burnt sugars. Light-bodied, with low carbonation and a gritty, earthy mouthfeel. I bought this when I was younger and dumber and put it in the cellar and basically forgot about it until recently, when I saw "coffee" on the label. Whoops. If you still have one, get in your time machine, set it to 2009, and drink this one fresh.

7-11 coffee sweet vanilla. Dark brown pour thin head. Flavors of coffee vanilla caramel burnt sugar roast and espresso light sweet underneath. Dry sweet finish w good carb.

Pour is dark brown with a small amount if fuzzy dark brown head. Nose is fairly clean roasted coffee, very strong, with notes of milk chocolate and a touch of soy sauce. Taste is rough, highly acrid and sweet residual sugar in back. Coffee bitterness lingers through the finish. Body is oily and falls off in the finish with low carbonation.
