3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma is heavy coffee beans and that’s about it. Very heavy; pleasant enough but rather one-note.
The appearance is dark, opaque brown, almost black. Not much head.
The flavor is bitter iced coffee on the first swallow. Roasted with a sweetish raisin finish. Dry, dry malts. Dates and plums. Maple as my sister pointed out.
The palate is smooth and buttery, with a grainy finish. Warm it up for maximum enjoyment. Roasted as hell and dark. Too much with the iced coffee, but very drinkable.

Thanks to exiled for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma is strong coffee and vanilla. The flavor is roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. This is an excellent sweet stout that I hopefully will get to try again.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle purchased at Chucks in Chagrin Falls. Wow, this beer is certainly well defined: coffee flavored strong milk stout. Yep. All that is in here, very simply. Flavor is heavy of green coffee and lactose, flavor comes along quite the same. Very crisp at first, then mellows nicely like a milk stout should.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This Stout pours a brownish-black color with a medium beige head that diminishes to an outer ring eventually. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted coffee and grainy malt plus a bit of chocolate. Medium, somewhat creamy body with a roasted character and flavors of coffee, chocolate malt and mild hops. The finish is semi-sweet chocolate and coffee with a lingering roasty aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Sampled from the bottle at the 2010 March Metro Detroit tasting. Poured a hazy dark brown with a brown head. Aroma had some oxidation and had notes of soy sauce and coffee. Flavor again had notes of salt and coffee making for an awkward combination.
