A Continental Breakfast Lager brewed with European Malt, Hops, and locally roasted Gimme! Coffee. It is fermented with a German lager yeast and then, just before bottling, freshly pulled espresso shots are added at an alarming rate. Enjoy the deep, dark color, intense aroma, assertive flavors of mocha and toast, and brisk but smooth finish.

Poured a red brown color with a small, tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, mocha, and light smoke. Taste of more roasted malts, sweet cocoa, light espresso, caramel malts, and a bit of citrus as well in the dry finish.

Pours a deep brown with ruby highlights when held to the light with a smalll bubbly off white head. Aroma of coffee grinds, some nuts, sweet malts, some dark fruits hidden in there with some vanilla. Flavor of coffee, some chocolate, roasted malts, hints of some vanilla and mocha.

Sweet aroma of caramel and chestnuts. Brown amber in color with a quickly disappearing head. Nice semi-sweet toffee flavor with roast chocolate and coffee. Some butterscotch. This is a great beer - definitely a proud moment for Ithaca and one of the better lagers I have had in awhile.

UPDATED: AUG 2, 2007 Very dark brown, no head, just some wisps of foam. Huge roasted coffee aroma, sweet malts, hint of alcohol. Light-medium body, tad watery in texture. Lots of coffee and roast flavor(obviously) but underneath, nice clean, sweet dark bready malts, body maybe should be a little richer but excellent flavors, nice vanilla, maybe some hazlenut in the finish. Its pretty good. Smooth, tasty. Worth a re-visit.

(Tap) Pours an opaque brown color with little head. Strong coffee aroma, with a touch of vanilla. Taste very similar. Lots of coffee, chocolate, and roasted grain flavors in here. Also had some more subtle notes of vanilla and sugar. Excellent palate, with a rich and creamy body. As mentioned by other raters, this beer would be perfect for breakfast or dessert!

Sampled at ABF Night of the Lagers. Nice coffee aroma. The coffee flavor is balanced well with the malty bock flavor. Overall a great, interesting bock surprisingly well pulled off. A beer I’d have for breakfast.

750mL bottle, #62. Pours a clear, dark reddish-brown color; light tan head with patchy lacing. Generous, freshly ground coffee aroma; some milk chocolate. Average carbonation. Medium-to-full, coffee-driven mouthfeel: creamy and roasted palate; espresso character shows strongly against a light caramel bock backdrop; coffee is well-roasted, only the slightest bit green; toasty vanilla and nougat notes throughout. Served at cellar temp, this would be a great breakfast beer (my brother: "I feel like I should be adding cream and sugar to this"). Lengthy, coffee and roasted malt finish.
