COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with New York Blueberries and Brettanomyces, LeBleu is a blend of barrels filled in 2007, 2008, and 2009. It’s finished in the bottle with Champagne yeast. Enjoy the dusty rose appearance, mouthwatering aroma of ripe berries, piquant flavor and quick finish.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2014 Bottle split with Pat, from place off of chestnut near the First Unitarian Church in Philly. Pours a light, bright red body with nice haze and an insane amount of carbonation. The laser etching in my delirium glass is tearing this beer up for a good 5 minutes. Aroma is tart and wheat. Mouthfeel is very champagne carbonation, great touch on the mouth... extremely tart - mouth puckering. Taste is well done tartness, some sour blueberries after the initial punch in the face of tart.

"Man - takes the stinky cheese to a whole new level. Wonderful funky aroma, musty cheese and fresh berry, similar flavor that just lasts forever. Excellent brew."

Cloudy murky pour with reddish tint. Crackling off white head. Lots of berry in the nose and acidity with a light sweetness. Lots of acidity in the flavor, leaning acetic. Lots of berry flavor. Very acidic and dry finish.

Thanks to whoever brought this to the Inaugural "Imminent Liquidation Bottle Share" Event. Bottle poured into a taster glass.

A - Pours ruby red with a small half finger tall white head, dissipating down to almost nothing, leaving small wisps of lacing down the glass.

S - Plenty of tart funk up front with hints of light blueberry, citric fruits, dry yeast, and some earthy oak. The tartness is a bit overpowering and doesn’t allow all the other flavors to come thru as much as I would like.

T - Huge blast of tart funk up front giving way slowly to a mix of light blueberry, dry oak, and some strong acidic fruit. Plenty of pucker in the finish, lingering for quite awhile. I was really expecting the blueberry’s to be more prominent but they were a bit muted. Still a very enjoyable American wild.

M - Medium body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Nice crisp tart feel with plenty of pucker in the finish. Not too over the top but still quite tart.

D - Pretty good. I could definitely drink this one no problem but it really was very tart. It really didn’t tire the pallet like some of the others I have had, quite refreshing even.

750 ml bottle. Pours a bright orange with a champagne-bubble white head that fizzes away quickly to a thin wispy edge head. Aroma is wild yeast upfront with sour blueberries muted in the background. Flavor is blueberries upfront this time, and is overall deliciously sour. World class balance of so many flavors here. Carbonation is high, almost distracting from the flavor. Crackling finish as the bubbles die away. Delicious. From notes 1/23/10 (Geist Dark Lord Tasting).

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Ed. Batch E!032. Moderately clear, golden-amber body with a white head that crackles down to a chunky collar in moments. Aroma is filled with lots of lacto, lemony sourness, vinous white grapes, mild oak, & a touch of acetic acid. Not much blueberry left at this point, but still a very sour, fruity,& poignent aroma. Taste is very, very sour. Once again, blueberry is very faint; there’s much more lemon & yogurty sourness, lactic acid, mild white grape, & touch of damp hay, likely from the Brett. Lemon Warhead puckering quality, insanely dry finish... Basically like a more sour & slightly more fruity version of Brute at this point (a.k.a., still damn awesome). Delicious.

Traded 2010 bottle, batch E!021, enjoyed on our last night at 910 after dealing with Dr Sam. Cloudy blood orange color with an active, bubbly white head. Light aroma of tart fruit. Good sour flavor but I’d be hard pressed to tell you it was blueberries except maybe a faint hint in the finish.

Bottle at home with friends, courtesy of Dave. Thanks man!! Pour is hazy orange with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Big funky, urine, lactic, lemony, floral, honey, vanilla, and lactic aroma. Taste is big sour raspberries, blueberries, sweet vanilla, lactose, bright fruit peel, semi-salty, and horse blanket with a big sour finish. Slick mouthfeel with high carbonation. Really nice fruited sour. Thanks again Dave!!!

HMOG 2014. Awesome nose on this one. Big blueberries, a bit of funk. Taste was quite tart blueberries galore, brett, barely sweet. Super.
