COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our anniversary ale, THIRTEEN is carefully brewed with raw and malted wheat and flaked oats, assertively hopped with Citra and Sorachi Ace, spiked with an addition of orange and lemon peel and vigorously fermented with an American Ale yeast. Enjoy the incandescent appearance, immense citrus aromas and flavors, soft and fluffy mouthfeel and bitter zing.

Pours a bright, clear, light golden. Large fluffy head. Pungent aroma of burnt orange, wheat, cereal, Fruity Pebbles, tropical fruit, cream. Light bodied, bursting with orange and lemon flavor, fresh mown grass, sage. Smooth wheat palate. The finish is very complex, the bitterness feels like it comes from orange pith as well as hops. The Sorachi Ace works perfectly with the wheat. This Excelsior series is very impressive!

Nice lemon aroma, not medicinal or chemical, but real lemon. Bright, floral hops in the aroma and flavor. Nice citrus finish. A soft palate with a good, and flavorful balance of hops with real citrus.

Bottle @ home with Jetson. Cloudy, peachy orange appearance with a cream colored head. Very cool grapefruity hoppy, rich mango, orange fruity, toasty malty aroma. Fucking awesome aroma that’s bordering on a 10. Huge citrusy (pineapple, mango, orange, tons of grapefruit), slightly earthy hoppy, somewhat bitter, sweet, toasty wheat malty flavor. Kind of tastes like a fresh hop IPA with additional citrus and wheat elements.

750 ml bottle purchased at Bellport Cold Beer & Soda. This is one of the prettiest beers I’ve seen in a while. Pours a totally cloudy apricot that has this beautiful warm glow when sunlight passes through the glass that seems to make the beer illuminate. Gorgeous. The head lasts until the very end and leaves a layer of foam with each sip all the way down. Very pleasant aroma that is filled with fresh citrusy hops along with some pine notes. The orange and lemon peel are more apparent in the flavor, along with some wheat grain. On the lighter side of medium bodied. Very nice beer.

Apricot in color, fluffy white head. Very citrusy nose. Hoppy, nice carbonation. Orange, coriander, lemon zest, grapefruit hops. Wheat notes are definitely present.

Nice and refreshing. It got better the more it warmed up.

Bottle thanks to big-D. A strange beer, quite different. Pours a bright orange color with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet zesty fresh hops. The flavor is dominated by sweet citrus and lemons, some light bitterness, very smooth despite a high ABV, a dry palate. Reminds me a bit of a grainy highly hopped pale ale. Nice.

Bottle at GABF. Pours an attractive gold with a fluffy white head. THe nose is phenomenal, big citrus and tropical fruits that burst from the glass. Plenty of big hop aromatics and then a big blast of white bread comes through. On tasting, has a really similar and big hoppiness but there is a hit of onion as well from the hops. Not too distracting, but it’s there. Big malt backbone. Really tasty beer, for sure.
