Our anniversary ale, THIRTEEN is carefully brewed with raw and malted wheat and flaked oats, assertively hopped with Citra and Sorachi Ace, spiked with an addition of orange and lemon peel and vigorously fermented with an American Ale yeast. Enjoy the incandescent appearance, immense citrus aromas and flavors, soft and fluffy mouthfeel and bitter zing.

Thanks Derek! Cloudy copper with a white head. A:huge citrus hop aroma, sweet malts creeping through T:citrus up front-lemon,orange,tangerine, assertive bitterness-slightly out of balance, malts add a little sweetness but they are not overly complex This is a great beer.

750ml Bottle (Batch#: E033!): Aroma of hops, citrus, orange, mango, light grass, tangerine, and slight wheat. Poured amber in color with a medium-sized, off-white/tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Very cloudy. Very sparkling. Full of medium and large-sized particles throughout. Excellent lacing. Flavor is heavily bitter and lightly sweet. Tastes of malt, pine, resin, hops, citrus, orange, nectarine, light grass, oak, cedar, and wood. Medium body. Dry texture. Average to lively carbonation. Hop, pine, wood, oak, resin, slight grass, citrus finish is dry. 9%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

750mL bottle. Poured clear medium-golden with a well-proportioned sticky white head.. looked great in the glass! The aroma was bright and hoppy/citrusy, with orange peel and cloves leading.. sweet honey and bready backing.. deeper wheat down there too.. the Citra hops were dominant, but that wasnít by any means bad. The flavor opened with tart orange peel and pineapple, with red wheat and bready support not far behind.. tacky honey across the middle.. lots more tangy wheat, citrus zest, and some floral notes around.. finished tangy with an aspartame-like feel on citrus zest.. overall tasty, but it didnít work as well as the nose suggested. Medium-bodied and acidic on the palate.. near-refreshing, but there were a few too many sugars.. overall I enjoyed it quite a lot.

bottle shared by murphym45 - clear copper pour. Aroma is huge; hop resins, oregano, pine needles, grapefruit, basil herbs. Sweet malts, fluffy foamy mouthfeel. Lots of hop bitterness, but not overwhelming. Some light astringency on the tongue. really tasty, smooth mouthfeel, pleasant finish.

Location: At the Foodery in Philly, 4/9/11

Aroma: The nose is fairly citrusy and herbal, with some floral and tropical notes
Appearance: It has a hazy golden pour with a large white head atop it
Flavor: The taste is like the nose with more of a yeast/dough characteristic to it
Palate: This one is fairly smooth with a medium body, an easy drinkability, and an average carbonation
Overall Impression: This was a really solid offering. One that I really enjoyed and I am glad that I got to try. Good stuff for sure.

Bottle. Light lemon pour, small ring of carbonation and an aroma of bright lemony hops, white pepper. Flavor is tangy bitter lemon, herbs and finished dry with more lingering bitters. Very unique and enjoyable.

Lemon grass, spice and lots of hops in the aroma - very bitter as well. Itís been years since I had an Ithaca beer and have forgotten how solid they are. the body is very bitter.

Ithaca Thirteen is a cloudy golden ale with lots of clumps and chunks swirling around in it. Itís topped with a thick elastic white foam that has outstanding retention and lacing. I could smell lemon as soon as I popped the bottle open. It has a huge, fresh, hoppy, citrus aroma: Fresh hops and lemon zest! Itís pretty full bodied and super smooth. It disappears from the mouth almost instantly. The finish is dry and clean. This is very hoppy but the bitterness isnít overbearing at all. The malt just supports the hops here. Thereís a little black pepper-- lemon pepper! This tastes great. Itís just like super fresh hops still on the vine. This isnít very complex but it tastes really darn good. The bottle may be big, but it wonít last long in my hands.

Hazy golden color with a white head. Aroma of citrus, toasted malt, grain, and floral hops. Serious hop bite at the back end with a citrus and wheat undertones upfront. Very well balanced,
