COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our anniversary ale, THIRTEEN is carefully brewed with raw and malted wheat and flaked oats, assertively hopped with Citra and Sorachi Ace, spiked with an addition of orange and lemon peel and vigorously fermented with an American Ale yeast. Enjoy the incandescent appearance, immense citrus aromas and flavors, soft and fluffy mouthfeel and bitter zing.

Thirteenth rating of this beer. I missed the draft version, but Chris from Georgetown bought a bottle to share - thank you sir! Cloudy variegated yellowish orange color. Aroma of pine, orange peel, coriander. Taste is rising bread dough and light spice. Fantastic.

A: The pour is a hazed golden orange color with a white head. S: Some very floral hops. Fairly herbal too with a lot of citrus (orange) peel. There’s a bit of grass and wheat, but a strong plastic aroma, unfortunately. T: A harsh bitterness and plastic flavor that sort of ruins the whole beer. There is some good citrus and citrus peel flavor and the floral hop qualities are nice. Piney hops provide some more bitterness. M: Medium in body with medium carbonation. O: There are some decent flavors, but that plastic was just too much to look past.

Bottle. Poured clear copper color with a large frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex citrus hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture with soft carbonation. Medium to heavy citrus bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish and small alcohol burn of moderate to long duration. This is a solid complex brew.

A nice amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, a nice mix of chardonnay and c-hops, resinous, and smooth meaty notes. In mouth, a smooth woody malt, oak barrel, with loads of resinous c-hops, rich and classy. On tap at Boston Beer Summit, Jan. 15 2011.

Bottle @ home with Jetson. Cloudy, peachy orange appearance with a cream colored head. Very cool grapefruity hoppy, rich mango, orange fruity, toasty malty aroma. Fucking awesome aroma that’s bordering on a 10. Huge citrusy (pineapple, mango, orange, tons of grapefruit), slightly earthy hoppy, somewhat bitter, sweet, toasty wheat malty flavor. Kind of tastes like a fresh hop IPA with additional citrus and wheat elements.
