Our Anniversary Ale, Twelve is reverently brewed with French malts and German hops then piously fermented with a special blend of Trappist yeast strains. Enjoy the burnished chestnut color, remarkable balance of fruity and spicy aromas, rich but dry flavor and long contemplative finish.

Thanks alum, pours an unclear brown with a light brown frothy head. Aroma is light, cherry, bacon, brown sugar. Flavor is a bit lighter, tootsieroll, nice trappist yeast flavor, nice nuttiness, this is actually quite good, light bit of plum, might be better a bit fresher. Really nice. A bit thin.

Bottle from a trade with RCL. Pours clear medium brown color with huge tan head. Dark fruit and Belgian yeast aromas. Raisin and dates flavors, brown sugar with doughy yeast. Medium body with effervescent carbonation. Way too carbonated for me. Slight medicinal aftertaste. Thanks Ray.

Holy big beer batman. Pours inky dark purply black with almost no carbonation. Aroma is intense plum, raisin. Taste is full bodied, loads of purple fruit and big alcohol. Silky smooth and it explodes in your mouth. Take this slow.

On tap at Tap and Mallet. Pours cloudy brown with a tan head. Aroma is sweet, with notes of brown sugar, toasted malts, and Belgian yeast. Sweet flavor with caramel malts, alcohol and mild spices. Full body with good carbonation. Warming finish, lightly spicy with some toffee and caramel.

Batch E!028; no bottled on date but it’s been cellared for at least a year+. Poured from a 750ml, purchased G-d knows where into a brandy snifter. Pours with about an inch of dull gray head that quickly dissipates. No lacing at all and only a whisp of sea foam on the top of the liquid. Dark fruity, must aroma. Mouthfeel is solid and big, but not overwhelming. The right amount of carbonation really lifts this out of the syrup and into the beer category. Taste is very deep. TONS of dark fruit. VERY sweet! It’s like drinking Belgian molasses. Main tastes are black cherries, funk, syrup, candy, cocoa and some nuttiness. Overall a very good beer. Checks all the Quad boxes, sweet, Belgian taste and good heavy mouth-feel. Glad to have tried it.

Shared by me at my US beer tasting. This one was from a trade with forgetfu. cloudy brown, small light brown head. aroma is roasted and malty, balanced, slightly oxidized but this might be the spicy fruity note that also is there.flavor is malts, tofee, faint dark dried fruits. Good complex quad (aint they all).

Bottle at Pinball’s - Thanks. Cloudy brown - offwhite head. Oxidation - lots of oxidation, nutty, green valnuts, roasted, fruity, licorice yrasty, berries, honey sweetness, caramel, brown sugar, spicy. Too old.

750ml bottle from Wegman’s in State College, PA. Batch E!028. Pours a deep, richer amber-brown colored body with a finger-width, frothy and fizzy, tan head that dissipates quickly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is fairly sweet with nutty caramels, some cocoa, dark fruits, and toast. A touch of syrup with lots of dates and raisins, some Belgian yeast, and a very light spice. Flavor is similar. Fairly sweet with a good amount of caramel, nuts, and slightly syrupy toast up front with some Belgian yeast and dark fruits. Some yeasty esters, cocoa, brown sugar, and a light spicing before this finishes sweet, but somewhat dry before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Medium body and a somewhat lively carbonation. Overall, a decent quad. Pretty sweet and malty with some cocoa notes and toast. A nice Belgian yeast, dark fruit, and light spicing keeps this balanced while hiding the alcohol well. Not bad.

Sample from 75 cl. bottle. Dark, muddy amber colour with a tanned head. Aroma is dark fruits, Belgian yeasts, some caramel and licorice. Taste is sweet with spices and licorice. Medium to full body, long sweet finish.
