In the bottle from Logan’s Pre-GABF party. Pours a very cloudy pale yellow. Delightful tastes of honey and oranges. This was yummy AND intoxicating. I could pick out lemon verbena and honeysuckle nectar. And I’m not even a bee!

Draught at Night of the Funk ’07. Pours a cloudy yellow golden with a thin white head. Nose is fruity and very clean with hints of brett. Flavor tastes more like a regular belgian golden ale--no brett noted. Pretty good, but expected a bit more funk.

Pours a hazy yellow color with a medium white head. Nice aroma of lemon, spices and yeast. Solid flavor of spices, lemon and yeast, it’s dry in the finish. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. Very good, it feels a lot like a tripel.

Bottle shared with mds, HogTownHarry, blankboy and tupalev - HogTownHarry’s bottle. Slightly hazy light golden colour. Aroma of tropical fruit with sharp wheat and lemon notes. Crisp body. Flavour of fruit and wheat - starts OK, but gets too boozy as it warms.

Hazy pale yellow-orange. Orange and aroma and flavor. A little malt and some hops also there.

750 ml bottle dated April 2007, #045. Pours a hazy dull gold with a long-lasting white head that left no lacing. Pleasant aroma of wheat and yeast. The flavor is again wheat and a bit of yeast. Dry at the finish. An ok beer, but given the special bottling, I was expecting more.

hazy pale yellow, light sweet spicy aroma, rich malt flavor, nice fruityness, well balanced with a yeasty bitterness (yeast shot?),

lighter bitterness than the prior sample but still a prevalent and building character, finally after warming a sweetness emerges and the bitterness receeds, a light tartness shows as well,

(Bottle #1626 - Apr 07) Appearance: Pours a hazy yellow body with a thin, white head. Smell: Aroma of toasted wheat crackers, sour lemons, and spicy hops. Taste: Pale wheat flavor with a light sweetness. Hint of lemon zest. The taste of the Saaz really shines out, though there’s only a mild bitterness throughout. Noticeable Belgian yeastiness. Finishes bready and dry. The alcohol really begins to creep in as it warms. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: It’s fine for a beer of intertwined styles.
