Elegantly traditional and rich in itsí hop character, this India Pale Ale is thirst-quenching and soul-satisfying. Each sip delivers a bounty of herbal and floral hop character, balanced by the fruity signature of our house yeast.

Bottle courtesy of agl108. Best before: March. A hazy pale copper pour with a smallish light-tan head. The aroma features grapefruits, oranges, pine needles, and a touch of caramel in the background. Goes down medium-bodied with a surprising bite. A little caramel and a crisp biscuitiness upfront taste-wise. Some juicy peaches and a hint of apricots follow. After that, itís all resiny, spicy, and zesty grapefruity deliciousness. A very pleasant surprise.

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2013 On tap at the brewery, this beer smells purely hoppy, nice but not overpowering. The appearance is lighter like a honey amber color with a small head. The flavors start out with sweet hops and then settle smoothly on the tongue with some bitterness. You can taste the pleasant fruitiness from the yeast.

This was one fine IPA. Pours orangish copper with a fairly white soapy head. The aroma had citric hops as well as floral with some minorly sweet, lightly toasted malt. Medium smooth body with a touch of graininess and fairly soft carbonation for the style. The flavor starts with soft malt and gentle hops on the floral, herbal and mild citrusy side. The finish has dry grapefruit, pine and lots of smoothness. I couldnít really believe when I saw this was 8% - I thought it was around 6%. Very nice IPA. Canít wait to head back east and get more.

I shared a bottle of this with MereLikesBeer courtesy of our beer buddy Chad, from NY. I always like IPAís that have a citrusy note to it, like two hearted, but this was slightly sweeter, and almost as good! Very solid IPA. Cheers!

12 oz bottle. Golden copper pour with a thick foamy head. Aroma of grapefruit and tangerine. Fantastic citrus hoppy taste with a creamy mouthfeel. Great lasting, hoppy but even finish. Pleasant surprise while searching for a dogfish to no avail.

nose is extremely well balanced mix of bready malts and spicy pine hops. hazy orange pour with nice head and good retention. flavor is excellent grapefruit, comes across very fresh and quite juicy. bitterness lingers and burns down the throat like hot sauce. excellent IPA, another shockingly good beer from this small brewery.

Location: 12 oz bottle from New Beer, 1/15/10

Aroma: This has lots of fresh juicy hops, some peach, pine, and grapefruit. As it warms, the nose looses some of the juicy hops and becomes a bit herbal.
Appearance: Hazy orange-amber color with a fluffy white head, lots of white lace
Flavor: Mild fruity sweetness gives some balance to the big, bitter hop flavor
Palate: Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel and relatively soft carbonation
Overall Impression: This is my first beer from Ithaca Brewing. This is a pretty nice IPA, has that juicy, peachy feel up-front, and a good balance to it. I like this beer, a really solid IPA. Very drinkable and enjoyable. The nose gets higher scores at first, not quite as nice as it warms, but Iíll keep it here. Just a bit off in the aftertaste as well, I wavered quite a bit on the scores on this one, but settled here.
