3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2012 Bottle (12oz). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and Tupalev, bottle courtesy of blankboy. Poured slightly hazy orange with a diminishing white head. Aroma of citrusy hops, acrylic paint, some malt, and wildflower notes. Taste is fairly strong citrusy hops, black pepper, a hint of malt, and, strangely, chlorine (think: swimming pool) - definitely not a sweet finish, although thereís enough light malt to notice. Mouthfeel quite acidic, average body. I liked it, but nothing special. UPDATED - original rating 7+4+6+3+12=3.2 ..... have to update based on several pints at Coleís in Buffalo .... stunningly pungent floral aroma, almost as nice flavour - light body, decent carbonation, long bitter floral/citrus finish, not too boozy - just a terrific pint now, had to re-rate this.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Malt and hops aroma, cloudy amber, tiny cream head. Flavour has strong malt, lotís of hops. Well balanced, light bodied, pleasantly bitter. Pretty good. As someone who grew up during the 60ís, I love the name!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle acquired in trade with SpringsLicker (thanks!). Poured a deep, see through orange color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, somewhat fruity with some malts lurking in the background. Tastes of caramel and light citrus. Malty sweet with not much of a hoppy bitterness to it. Did not taste like an IPA, but drinkable.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Dumbed down aroma has a real íbaked porkí note that is unsettling. Flat carbonation and no real hop presence throughout. Some sweet malt and fruitiness. I donít get it. This was bought in Ithaca, NY. Just a bad IPA all around. Maybe Iíll try on tap.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft @ MacGregors in Henrietta. Big white head courtesy of the tap. Standard amber color. Pretty typical hop aroma, but the I think restrained is a good way to describe the hop flavor. Doesnít measure up to the other IPAs that evening.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This starts with a large off-white head over a clear, medium amber body.
Decent hop aroma, somewhat floral but not heavily done.
Fairly well balanced but still somewhat restrained for an IPA. Needs more hops, malt and body to really shine.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAR 26, 2014 [draft at MacGregorís - Henrietta, NY] Pale gold color with a thick white head. Very floral and hoppy aroma. The taste is very floral and fruity with some hops in the end. Not as prevalent as most IPAís Iíve had in the past. Very easy to drink but could use more of a hoppy kick.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft. Copper, somewhat cloudy appearance. Fruity malt seemed more dominant than hops in both aroma and flavor. Nice carbonation that adds a prickly feel to the palate. Easy sipping, refreshing, but hops not as advertised.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: SEP 15, 2013 Actually not a lot of floral aroma, a standard IPA that grew on me. Sampled on draft at the Rohrbachís summer beer festival. (was a 2.7 rating)
Rerate - had at an IPA tasting and this was my number 1. Wow. And lots of others had this as the number one. I did not see that coming.
This was great - clean, sharp, well balanced, great mouthfeel, nose, overall.
Another beer fest. This was matched against some heavy weights. Heady Topper, Sculpin IPA, Union Jack, this was my number one. It consistently rates high or highest for me. Bumping my score *again* to recognize the perfection of this beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light bronze. Modest white foam. Peppered melon, gummy candy, toasted malt hull aroma. Softly fuzzy carbonation. immediately soft earthy dryness from the hops. Briskly toasty malt foundation, initially, but gains more huskiness as things progress. Disagreeable combination of dirty yeast and an earthy, bushy hop twang. Underlying fruitiness fuses with a firmly grainy/woody malt structure that lends dryness and negates the tongue adhering resin. Malts hit full stride as it warms, touting more rich dough and nutty richness to deepen the dry woodiness, but the huskiness remains. Snappy finish of pepper, peach fuzz, and salty herbal bitterness. Pretty dull, as is, but I bet this would be superb from the cask.
