Elegantly traditional and rich in its’ hop character, this India Pale Ale is thirst-quenching and soul-satisfying. Each sip delivers a bounty of herbal and floral hop character, balanced by the fruity signature of our house yeast.

Bottled. Small head on a clear, fairly rich amber body. The aroma is spectacular, highly perfumed, fresh, lively, with a suggestion of fruit somewhere in there, but there’s a slight industrial smell from the alcohol. The flavours are both too sweet and too bitter. The thick, unyieldingly syrupy body doesn’t help with the candied tastes up front, and the bitterness becomes nasty and astringent if you let it linger. That scent almost makes it worth the experience, but it doesn’t make for the best-tasting IPA.

12oz bottle, variety pack from Brewers Outlet, Lancaster, PA...pours a nice clear amber, medium off-white head...grassy citrus aroma...flavors of orange-grapefruit, not an overpowering hop bitterness...nice balance, smooth mouthfeel, thin lacing.

Bottle from a variety pack. Definitely has the hops taste. Very floral aftertaste. Delicious. I would love to drink this again.

Wow, this is a nice pale ale! This one kind of snuck up on me. Very similar to Troeg’s Nugget Nectar. Great tasting IPA. Aroma is incredible with notes of pine and citrus. Color is pale orange with white head. Very easy drinking!

Superfloral and sweet aroma and taste which is especially rare from a bottle. Quite excellent in the small quantity I sampled.

UPDATED: MAY 31, 2009 I’ve had this from the bottle, draught, draught unfiltered at the brewery, and as a one-off, dry-hopped and in a cask. Dark amber, small soapy big-bubble head that fades. Very floral, pine and resinous, touch of citrus in orange and lemon, a tinge of grapefruit. Slight malt balance in biscuit and caramel character. Moderately bitter finish, medium carbonation, nice on the palate. This beer has gotten significantly better over the couple of years since I first tried it.

Smells of flowery sour grapefruit hops. Pours a clear light copper color with a small white head. Taste is pungent sour hops, but so overpowering that your mouth will pucker. Very well balanced and tasty. A very good IPA
