Pours clear amber into a shaker. White conglomerate head with excellent retention leaves slight sheets as it slowly recedes. Pine and weed aromas. Sweet malt upfront turning quickly to a bitter, astringent weed resin finish.

tap. Nice copper color with floral and pine aromas. Nice flavors of pine and citrus, very hoppy but smooth with a nice mouthfeel. Has some lingering bitterness in the finish that is offset with some malt backbone. Nice.

12 oz bottle pours medium copper color with a nice foamy head. Nice citrus and floral hop aroma. Nice bitterness that does not over power the body of caramel and slight bit of yeast. Bitterness fades into the malty body. Does not leave a bitter taste in your mouth. Very nice IPA. Not trying to make you have bitter beer face, but a nice solid IPA all the same.

I thought this was a mediocre IPA. It was a little watery but i was also drinking other heavily hopped beers and that may have caused the disturbance.

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2011 Fresh bottle, re-rated. And from my experience, fresh is the ONLY way to go with this beer.
Golden yellow pour with a decent head.
Nose shows a lot of fruit notes, some sharp citrus and some sweeter, tangerine-ish stuff. Promises lots of hop character without much else.
Flavor follows on that, and doesnít disappoint. Loads of citrus flavor, and sharp citrus bitterness that finishes clean. Tangerines and oranges round out hop flavors. Mild sweetness, with a solid body held up by mild caramel and toffee. Clean, smooth, good finish.
Overall a superb IPA- if fresh. If not... falls apart fast.

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2009 I think this is a really underrated IPA. Especially at the prices you can get it at in Ithaca! Itís a session IPA, if you can call it that at 8% abv. Lots of grass, some pine, some grapefruit, but not a ton. The malt bill isnít overly thick, and itís nicely bittered, but not too bitter. This is a damn fine IPA completely in fitting with the style. Which might be why itís so underrated.

Nice and hoppy and juicy hops too. Great on tap. Citrus and piney hops. Malt sweetness helps balance it out but it definitely is hop dominant and biiter too right through the finish and sticks with you for a bit.

Tap at GL. Pour is a golden amber with 2finger white head. Aromas strong of floral hops, resin, and sweet fruits. Flavor is a hop bomb! Nice citrus, piney, and floral hops. Very easy drinking at 8%. Awesome!

Bottle an extra in a trade. Pours a golden body with a white head. Citrus pine and light spicy hop resins. A light caramel malt body finishes bitter and slightly cloying.
