Elegantly traditional and rich in its’ hop character, this India Pale Ale is thirst-quenching and soul-satisfying. Each sip delivers a bounty of herbal and floral hop character, balanced by the fruity signature of our house yeast.

This starts with a large off-white head over a clear, medium amber body. Decent hop aroma, somewhat floral but not heavily done. Fairly well balanced but still somewhat restrained for an IPA. Needs more hops, malt and body to really shine.

UPDATED: MAR 26, 2014 [draft at MacGregor’s - Henrietta, NY] Pale gold color with a thick white head. Very floral and hoppy aroma. The taste is very floral and fruity with some hops in the end. Not as prevalent as most IPA’s I’ve had in the past. Very easy to drink but could use more of a hoppy kick.

Draft. Copper, somewhat cloudy appearance. Fruity malt seemed more dominant than hops in both aroma and flavor. Nice carbonation that adds a prickly feel to the palate. Easy sipping, refreshing, but hops not as advertised.

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2013 Actually not a lot of floral aroma, a standard IPA that grew on me. Sampled on draft at the Rohrbach’s summer beer festival. (was a 2.7 rating) Rerate - had at an IPA tasting and this was my number 1. Wow. And lots of others had this as the number one. I did not see that coming. This was great - clean, sharp, well balanced, great mouthfeel, nose, overall. Another beer fest. This was matched against some heavy weights. Heady Topper, Sculpin IPA, Union Jack, this was my number one. It consistently rates high or highest for me. Bumping my score *again* to recognize the perfection of this beer.

Light bronze. Modest white foam. Peppered melon, gummy candy, toasted malt hull aroma. Softly fuzzy carbonation. immediately soft earthy dryness from the hops. Briskly toasty malt foundation, initially, but gains more huskiness as things progress. Disagreeable combination of dirty yeast and an earthy, bushy hop twang. Underlying fruitiness fuses with a firmly grainy/woody malt structure that lends dryness and negates the tongue adhering resin. Malts hit full stride as it warms, touting more rich dough and nutty richness to deepen the dry woodiness, but the huskiness remains. Snappy finish of pepper, peach fuzz, and salty herbal bitterness. Pretty dull, as is, but I bet this would be superb from the cask.

A pretty unexciting example of my favorite style. More floral hops than I would have anticipated, less bitterness, less grapefruit or organge and pine than I would expect from a West Coast IPA. More of a decent pale ale than an IPA. Good orange color, surprisingly small head.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a coppery orange with a decent whitish head. Nice citrus aroma is stronger than the actual flavor. Flavor is citrus with a lingering bitterness. I didn’t get much of the floral hop character the brewer describes. Still, an enjoyable summer beer.

Its the IPA that tastes like a blonde! Refreshing, but misses the mark. Citrus trees in the Finger Lake region? This should taste more like other trees that grow in Ithaca that are closely related to hops!

highs and lows. Grapefruit aroma, lace in appearance, refreshing aggressive carbonation. However, a drying leaf aftertaste, bitter drying out grainy like the sucrose toothpaste. A bit of metallic, and a line of dark blood red like a radish in the head

Hazy orange body, medium/thin off-white head. Earthy hops and biscuity, toasty malts in the aroma. Tangy body, bready, with earthy, musty hops. Like the description states, there is a unique fruity quality to this IPA. Really not all that hoppy for the style. Unique, decent. Thanks Dan (jah noth) for the bottle!
