Elegantly traditional and rich in itsí hop character, this India Pale Ale is thirst-quenching and soul-satisfying. Each sip delivers a bounty of herbal and floral hop character, balanced by the fruity signature of our house yeast.

Small white head. Bright amber color with orange hues. Hoppy taste with herba; taste on the backside. Floral aroma. Good beer for a football Sunday.

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2009 Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow & tupalev -- courtesy of me. Pours a clear orange with an average size white head. Wonderful aroma of fresh citrus hops -- oh yeah, thatís how Daddy likes it! The flavour of floral hops and citrus is fresh and delicious. I liked it a lot.
Rerate:Cask at Mr. Goodbar, Buffalo, NY. Not much to add except that Iíd originally given it 3.6 and itís much better then that fresh on cask. Delicious and refreshing.

Bottle from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo courtesy of blankboy - shared with blankboy, HogTownHarry and GregClow. Floral hop aroma. Orange in the glass, small white head. Taste has a strong soap like quality to it. Bubbly, frothy mouthfeel. Taste of a lot of soap/butter like hops. A little stale and bottle like. Interesting, but easily the most soap I have ever got out of a beer before.

Hazy gold orange ale with an overfoaming white head (contaminated?). Sweet herbal aroma, with not much hops or citrus to be found. Good malt base with a fairly harsh hop character, with loads of grapefruit but a unpleasant metallic finish muddles the whole thing. Not my type of IPA.

Bottle from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo courtesy of blankboy - shared with blankboy, HogTownHarry and tupalev. Orange-amber colour with a large white head. Aroma is quite hoppy and floral - fits the name well, I guess. Taste is well balanced, bit seemed a bit stale to me. Not bad, but Iíve had better.

UPDATED: MAR 27, 2012 Bottle (12oz). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and Tupalev, bottle courtesy of blankboy. Poured slightly hazy orange with a diminishing white head. Aroma of citrusy hops, acrylic paint, some malt, and wildflower notes. Taste is fairly strong citrusy hops, black pepper, a hint of malt, and, strangely, chlorine (think: swimming pool) - definitely not a sweet finish, although thereís enough light malt to notice. Mouthfeel quite acidic, average body. I liked it, but nothing special. UPDATED - original rating 7+4+6+3+12=3.2 ..... have to update based on several pints at Coleís in Buffalo .... stunningly pungent floral aroma, almost as nice flavour - light body, decent carbonation, long bitter floral/citrus finish, not too boozy - just a terrific pint now, had to re-rate this.

On tap. Malt and hops aroma, cloudy amber, tiny cream head. Flavour has strong malt, lotís of hops. Well balanced, light bodied, pleasantly bitter. Pretty good. As someone who grew up during the 60ís, I love the name!

Bottle acquired in trade with SpringsLicker (thanks!). Poured a deep, see through orange color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, somewhat fruity with some malts lurking in the background. Tastes of caramel and light citrus. Malty sweet with not much of a hoppy bitterness to it. Did not taste like an IPA, but drinkable.

Dumbed down aroma has a real íbaked porkí note that is unsettling. Flat carbonation and no real hop presence throughout. Some sweet malt and fruitiness. I donít get it. This was bought in Ithaca, NY. Just a bad IPA all around. Maybe Iíll try on tap.

Draft @ MacGregors in Henrietta. Big white head courtesy of the tap. Standard amber color. Pretty typical hop aroma, but the I think restrained is a good way to describe the hop flavor. Doesnít measure up to the other IPAs that evening.
