Reviewed 12/31/2012. Thanks to scottk1969 for the bottle! 12 oz bottle poured into a Duvel artist tulip. Notes from last night’s Skins/Cowboys game. A: Pours a hazy golden color with a bit of yeast sediment floating about. The head is a beautiful two finger creamy white head with fantastic, almost Guinness-like texturing. Good lacing is left on the glass. S: The hype train wasn’t kidding about this having an amazing aroma. There are tons of tropical fruits - mango, cantaloupe, apricot, papaya - that explode aromatically. I will say, this isn’t quite as vibrant as it could have been if it had been super fresh or from a growler, so sadly I can’t give it a 5 in good conscience. T: The tropical fruits from the nose come through to the flavor - at first. Initial tastes of melon, grapefruit, and cantaloupe are quickly supplanted by a floral, piny bitterness. I’d like to see a little more citrusy notes and less piny bitterness, but this is still a great (but simple) IPA. M: Tingly coarse at first, before leaving the palate quickly by a good clean dryness. Pleasant carbonation and drinkability. O: I’d buy the shit out of this if it were readily available in my area. Honestly, however, I don’t know if I’d seek it out, only because this supposedly falls off fast and hard. Still, this is very much a must try.

I really enjoyed this IPA. Vibrant flower aroma which is no surprise. Nice balance of malt, citrus, and pine. Hoppy/somewhat faint bitter taste with the finish. Really nice.

Tap @ Fireworks Leesburg - pours clear Amber, big floral nose, this one is all about the aroma, sweeter on the palate, though it does have some dry bitterness in the finish. IPA is not my favorite style, so this one didn’t make me a believer, but your mileage may vary.

Tap into pint. Cider than I’d like. Orange with a touch of bread, medium head of crabby orange tired bubbles. Nose is a touch sweet with pine hops.In the mouth a bit of alcohol sweet (supposed not that high abv) more grapefruit and pine hops finishes. Good, not overly hoped ipa.

Une IPA intéressante, à l’amertume appuyée et légère pointe sèche mais restant bien équilibrée. Bue à la pression chez Sweet Chick, Brooklyn, NY, USA, le 05/05/2015.

Very solid IPA in both scent and flavor. The color is a little bland, but the scents bring out strong hop and citrus notes. Not much bitterness, decent hop flavor and and bit of ale aftertaste.
