4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Reviewed 12/31/2012. Thanks to scottk1969 for the bottle! 12 oz bottle poured into a Duvel artist tulip. Notes from last nightís Skins/Cowboys game.
A: Pours a hazy golden color with a bit of yeast sediment floating about. The head is a beautiful two finger creamy white head with fantastic, almost Guinness-like texturing. Good lacing is left on the glass.
S: The hype train wasnít kidding about this having an amazing aroma. There are tons of tropical fruits - mango, cantaloupe, apricot, papaya - that explode aromatically. I will say, this isnít quite as vibrant as it could have been if it had been super fresh or from a growler, so sadly I canít give it a 5 in good conscience.
T: The tropical fruits from the nose come through to the flavor - at first. Initial tastes of melon, grapefruit, and cantaloupe are quickly supplanted by a floral, piny bitterness. Iíd like to see a little more citrusy notes and less piny bitterness, but this is still a great (but simple) IPA.
M: Tingly coarse at first, before leaving the palate quickly by a good clean dryness. Pleasant carbonation and drinkability.
O: Iíd buy the shit out of this if it were readily available in my area. Honestly, however, I donít know if Iíd seek it out, only because this supposedly falls off fast and hard. Still, this is very much a must try.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
One of the most balanced IPAs in the country and one that I drink all the time. Mild grapefruit in the nose and flavor. Pleasant bitterness that doesnít rip your tongue off. The perfect after work beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared thanks to Matt! Pours a translucent golden yellow with thin ring of white lacy head. Aroma of nice citrus hops, grapefruit, and a hint of bread. Taste follows, slight bitter sweet finish, good but nothing great.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft. Cloudy straw color with a white head. Nice floral hop and citrus aroma. I got some tangerine with a big floral bitter hop finish. It was worth guzzling the swill that was on tap before this to get to this keg in the rotation.

Medium gold, clear color.
Full body, smooth, very long palate.
Very bitter, dry, not enough malt fir my taste.
Hop feast. Worth having sometimes.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at home during the mass online tasting of 03/12/13, traded thanks to Dadmond of NYC Daddy fame.
Lightly obscured orange amber with a big ole off white head - this as per my previous beer looks like the bollocks !
Nose is caramel malts, pine resin, peach, bitter orange, red grapefruit, tropical fruit laced straw bales.
Taste comprises juicy hops, big caramel malt backbone, pine resin, sticky grapefruit, light pineapple, citric pithorama, light florists window.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying finale with pithy grass lead bitterludes.
Damn tasty IPA !

Flower power is the perfect name for this ipa. The aroma is very flowery but no too so. I like it

12oz bottle. Pineapple aroma. Kind of cloudy yellow-copper color. Little lacing. Flavors are juicy grapefruit with a tart pineapple finish. No malts to speak of. Really nice IPA.

On tap at The Pint Room in Dublin. I liked this but donít have much of a note: crisp, bitter, grapefruit, floral, good balance - 7.4

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.; thanks jmborggren). Looks good; a mostly transparent golden orange with white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of bitter, juicy, and floral hops with a medium-bodied pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with a nice mouthfeel. A good example of the style.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to Corey! Glowing orange pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is slightly caramel malt dominated with pine grapefruit, and tangerine. Much more juicy hop flavor with grapefruits, orange zest, flowers with the malt taking the background. Medium bodied with a lingering bitter hop finish. Pretty tasty.
