Cask at BCTC 2009. Pours a hazy amber with a thin head. Aroma is funky, earthy leather, old stale dry hoppiness, a bit cheesey moldy hops, funk, brett, fruit and tropical notes. Flavor is mildly acetic, funky cheesey stale hops, a bit leafy citrus leather, flowery, toast, light vinegar, and moderate caramel malts. Finish is a bit funky oily and slick.

On cask, @ BCTC 09. Pours a hazy reddish amber with a minimal to no head. The nose is a little sharp and not especially funky with some sour cherry, pineapple, light brett, and a little wood. The flavor is only lightly sour with a little brett, cherry, and vinegar. A little rough around the edges and lacking in crispness. The body is thinnish, almost completely still with some dryness on the finish. A fairly easy drinker, but it wouldn’t be one I’d seek out if it were bottled.

(BCTC, cask) Muddy dark amber body with no head. Aroma is medium sweet, pineapple, oak, cherry. Taste is medium sweet, oak/Brett, some orange, light pineapple. Medium body, no carbonation.

BCTC. REddish with ring. Wood sour cherry aroma. Woody sweet and sour cherry with mild funk. Nice effervescent carbo. Pretty good.

A hazy reddish brown ale with a pleasant sour cherry, dirt, Brett and barnyard. In mouth, a nice restrained sour ale, woody, astringent, with light ground cherries. Medium bodied. Quaffable. Cask at BCTC 2009

Tap at BCTC 2009: Murky brown copper with a fading head. Spicy hop aroma with a lot of leathery brett character. Slick feel. The flavor has a citric hop character- a bit of vegetal with leathery rustic undertones. Some grainy husk from the malt is evident. Eh.

BCTC’09. The brewer said this is something he just threw together before the event, a blend of a few different wild brews. This was a cask as opposed to what a few people are writing. This was a murky thick brown color. Aroma is hefty wet wood with lots of aceto and a Swedish-fish type of sourness. More balsamic and rotten garbage in the flavor. This was exactly what it was......... a sour beer completely thrown together with no finesse. But heck it is sour.

BCTC 09. Pours a cloudy brownish red with a smaller off white head. Aroma of wild/funky yeast, vanilla, oak, nuts and a toasted almost burnt quality. Flavor of moderate bitterness, some tart cherry, burnt toast, other fruit character and light vanilla.

Tap at BCTC. Not a good beer. Acetone, spray paint aromas dominate the sour aroma. Tough, acrid, pineapple flavors, with a very thin, flat profile. Uncomplex and uncompromisingly caustic, this desperately needs to be blended to take off its edge.

Hazy reddish brown. Aroma is faint sour with some cherry and wood. Very light flavor. Not quite there. Some sour, some wood, some sweetness. Almost a little brett to dry it but could use some time to dry more.
