0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 obxdude10 (1811) - Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 5, 2008
Opaque brown color, viturally no head at all, what was there fizzled out very quickly, it sounded like pouring a soda out of a can & into a glass, the beer just kind of sat there and fizzled like a soda too, aroma was sweet with notes of caramel, chocolate & sugar, very light body, flavors were horrible, very sweet and overloaded with chocolate, brown sugar & rye, the beer had a rather sour finish & aftertaste as well, I couldn’t finish the entire bottle it was that bad

12oz bottle, variety pack from Brewers Outlet, Lancaster, PA...pours deep reddish-brown, medium off-white head...smell of toasted malts, chocolate...flavor was much of the same, a bit watery...thin mouthfeel...flavor seemed a bit artificial.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (3205) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 17, 2008
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark brown color with ruby highlights and a small brown head. The aroma was moderately roasty and lightly smoky. The flavor was dry, bitter and very roasty with a hint of smoke underneath and a long, harsh and dry roasty finish.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Radek Kliber (5171) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - APR 23, 2008
Bottle 355ml
Appearance: Clear ruby brown ale with medium tanned top. Nose : Mineral hints with sweet brown malts and unrefined sugar, touch of choco followed behind. Flavor/Palate : Frontal roasty character, earthy , black soil like sweetened with soft chocolate malt. Interesting chemistry presented on palate that failed to produce fine finish. Either way decent attempt.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 dmradus (227) - Ithaca, New York, USA - MAR 2, 2008
Dark brown, very faint head. Bland aroma: walnuts, caramel, tinge of chocolate, slight flawed metallic note. Weird over-steeped tea character, a bit earthy, but mostly sweetness, edging on cloying, dusty and grassy hop notes very slight. Watery mouthfeel, moderate carbonation.

Smells faintly of caramel malts, not much of a smell. Pours a clear brown with a small light tan head. It tastes of caramel malts, a little watery, but very nice. The finish is a little dry and sort of nutty. Very nice nut brown.
