COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The rich mahogany hue of the Nut Brown is the first thing you will notice about this complex, malty brew. A delicate blend of chocolate malt, caramel malt, and four other malts brings to this beer a chocolatey sweetness, and hints of coffee. The malt character is subtly balanced with Northdown and Fuggles hops.

This beer pours out a nice dark brown color with a sweet smell of roasted nuts. There is also a good taste of nuts and hints of woody flavors.

Pours a lightly hazy brownish amber with ruby highlights and a medium creamy off white lacing head. Aroma had lots of various nuts (hazelnut, peanuts, almonds) with some chocolate and rich espresso. Flavor was a nice nutty, roasted malt with some chocolate and coffee with cream and sugar. One of the beer brown ales I have had.

Pours a clear chocolate amber colour with a finger thick tan head that fades to a thin coating of froth. The smell is heavy in caramel, malt, nut, and some chocolate with some vinous notes, too. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy from start to finish. The taste is chocolately, yet slightly acidic, with hints of hazelnut and lots of caramel malt. I feel this is an underated brown ale even though brown ales are generally weak. It’s sugary sweetness is ok here, though I agree sometimes when beers are to sweet they’re just plain offensive. Whatever.

Bottle. Thanks to Tomdecapolis. Brown body with thin head. Malty, nutty aroma with a touch of sweet chocolate. Flavor is slightly bittersweet with a nutty profile. A tad hoppy and a nice malty character. Leaves a dry last impression.

Sample at Brewery - A good, solid well rounded beer. After meeting those that make it I know there is no lack of effort here.
