Tap @ brewery. A bit hazy, dark reddish brown appearance with a fluffy, tan head. Very toasty, caramel, dark chocolate malty, thick nutty aroma. Light syrupy caramel, roasty chocolate malty, moderate espresso flavor.

Dark brown pour, opaque with brown edges, not much head, watery/sticky mouth feel, malty sweet aroma. Not bad, but not as satisfying as other nuts I’ve had.

From a bottle poured a brown color with a small amount of head. Nutty malty flavor with a quick finish.

Weird face on the label. IT is a fruitier example than most but with a lot of darker malts. It is okay, average.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jkwood04 (2286) - Connecticut, USA - OCT 9, 2011
12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours brown/ruby with a thick, cream-colored head. Aroma strong of nuts, caramel, and lightly roasted malts plus some light floral hops. The flavor is a good blend but there is something that doesn’t mix well. Average texture. A pretty good brown ale.

Nuts, malt, and a little coffee in the aroma. Coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt flavor. This is a solid, enjoyable beer.

Bottle- Pours a dark brown with a small tan head that fades quickly and not real lacing. Aroma of roasted nuts, abit of caramel and a soft sweetness. Taste of mild nut and a bit caramel. There is a subtle bitterness and a dry finish. Moderate body, smooth and a bit creamy.
Nice casual beer for the style. Good for a couple.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 cbfobes (1671) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 5, 2011
12oz bottle, pours a murky brown with a red hue and a nice tan head, the aroma has a good amount of coffee on the nose with some toffee and chocolate, the flavor has a good amount of chocolate on the front end with a coffee finish, actually this one is pretty tasty, a little thin on the mouthfeel is my only complaint, nice offering from Ithaca.

Bottle. Deep brown color. Smells of chocolate, carmel and mild hops. Taste is crisp and malty with a nutty backbone. Quite enjoyable
