Tap. Pours a slightly hazy gold body under a small foamy white head that faded to a wispy film. The nose is actually pretty toned down as far as the hops go. The hops are resiny and a little citrusy, the malt is pretty heavy on the bready and doughy notes. The flavor is quite a bit more bitter than I was expecting based on the nose, very resiny with a pithy grapefruit note towards the finish. Fairly thick and heavy pale bready malt base. Medium bodied with an almost chewy texture and sturdy fizzy carbonation. Pretty nice beer, lots of hops in this guy.

On tap (Fall 2012). Pours a hazy golden straw color with a one finger frothy white head that slowly settles to a ring. Floral hop aroma with subtle earthy pine needle, along with sweet citrus and pale malt. Taste is spicy, resinous hop bitterness with pine needle and grassy flavors countered by lemon peel, pineapple and grapefruit. Decent malt backbone adding balance without taking away from the hops. Hints of caramel, bread, biscuit, toffee and light fruit. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours cloudy wheat in color with a big creamy white head. The aroma brings sweet and syrupy notes and reminds me more of wheat beers. The flavors are sweet, malty, syrupy wheat-like. Not expected to be sweet and refreshing for the style, but the malt profile maintains the harvest style to me.
