Rockinout (942), Kent, Ohio, USA Aug 24, 2007 Taste of citrus and mild cherry with a touch of hops at the finish.Overall just an average Pale Ale but a decent session ale.
Glouglouburp (2014), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct 3, 2008 In short: Standard basic Pale Ale like so many others.
How: Bottle 12oz, consumed very fresh, purchased directly at the brewery and drank the same day.
The look: Clear dark golden body topped by a medium off-white head
In long: Typical pale ale citrusy nose. Honeyed and caramelized cereals that taste like Cherrios™ dipped in caramel. Hops add your standard fruity citrusy notes. A little cat litter as it warms up. Overall the beer was rather crisp. Not very tasty. Very easy to drink. Standard stuff for the style. Doesn’t re-invent the wheel, and what use would a wheel be to a beer anyway?
PilsnerPeter (1524), Flushing, New York, USA Sep 29, 2008 Bottle: Pours a nice cloudy deep orange with a dense tan film of head. The aroma is fairly sweet- some toasted vanilla/butterscotch soaked oranges and dusty herbal notes. Light on the palate. The flavor has a touch of diacetyl. There’s a sweet yet soft malt back with ginger cookie and graham cracker character and a vanilla touch. Some mildly bitter herbal hops show up into the finish. Taste like portion of the hops were British? Minus the diacetyl, it’s not bad. Miver (443), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 19, 2008 Draft at brewery. Poured golden copper in color with a small white head. Aroma of floral and piney hops. Tastes of caramel malt base, pine, light citrus hops. Finish is a little thin but for an APA I thought it was ok. wilkie (1092), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Aug 14, 2008 Draught at Ithaca Beer Company in NY. Copper colored, with a medium white head. Pine, citrus aroma. Flavor similar, some caramel, crisp finish. Beerman6686 (782), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 26, 2008 Poured a weak golden color with a small white head. Aroma was grassy and metalic. Flavor was bland, not hoppy, watery and blah.
