rocbyter (604), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA Apr 12, 2008 Mix of mild fruit and grain malt. Pale golden color with a large white head and medium lacing. Very light throughout the taste. Mild amount of hops in the finish. Light palate.
Dickinsonbeer (2510), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Aug 7, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly darker color than expected for a pils- more of a medium to light copper- or a very deep gold. Nice lasting white head. Aroma is toasty malts, light pils, ltos of sweet cara pils and a nice earthy doughy mt hood-like hop character and some continental hops as well. Flavor is also a bit on the sweeter side for a pilsner, ligth doughy malts and some cara pils sweetness, good earthy herbal hops- noble and fresh- also a wierd spicy earhty hop finish which reminds me of eating a vlassic bread and butter pickle. Interesting beer. I kinda like it. zebracakes (966), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy gold, white head. Aroma is burnt meat, malt, hops.
Flavor is hoppy, malty, some peat, but there is also a bizarre smoky/bitterness that makes this drinkable. DocLock (4075), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 22, 2008 Pours pale gold with splotchy 2-finger white head. Nose is dry florals, citrus, pale malt, Saazy hops. Tastes citric, hoppy, with pale malt, mild floral, peppery, and orange marmalady hints along the way. Nice. wcampbell (398), Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 21, 2008 Updated: Jul 28, 2008I thought this was pretty good, especially for a pilsener. Light bodied, crisp, and highly drinkable but not watery. Nothing not to like about it. Grassy hop flavor typical of pilseners, but a little bit more taste than most. Faint aroma. estoppel (1006), Buffalo, New York, USA Jul 17, 2008 Bottle. Golden body, big white head with ample lacing, a bit of a foamer coming out of the bottle. Weak nose with light fruit. Crisp body with a dry caramel note that doesn’t fit the style, not terribly hoppy in aroma/flavor (i.e., finishing hops) but with bitter start and finish.
