3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Spring Keyaki 2015. Under the name Golden Bitter (maybe a name change). Deep golden color with a small white head. Orange, grapefruit and grassy hop nose with some malt noticeable as well. Taste is more of the same with nice bitterness. Bitter finish. Not bad.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
On tap at the Craft Beer Festa Kyoto 2015. Unusual aroma, light fruit and what seems to be smoke. Rich gold straw color. Big bitterness right off, then a sourish note, somewhat malty in mid, very thin finish. Mouthfeel is flat and dull. Okay. Kind of homebrew-like stuff. Not really impressive at all.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the Iwate-ken event near Umeda Station. It pours a nice deep gold color. Kind of dark for a golden ale & has a citrusy hop aroma. It has nice fruity flavors with just a hint of citrusy hops & candy sweetness. Quite tasty, a decent golden ale that ticks the right boxes. A bit hoppier than most golden ales but good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Small white head. Clear amber body with carbonation. Tropical fruit and resin aroma with strawy malty notes. Dry-sweet dusty resiny fruity taste with toffee notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, smooth mouthfeel with slight astringence. Dryish resiny floral aftertaste with tropical fruit, wood, and citrus notes. Nice! Highly drinkable, full of flavour, and nicely balanced. (0.33l bottle bought at brewery.)

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at the Ichinoseki Craft Beer Festival 2011. Dark, deep golden color. Aroma of honey, pilsner malts, bread, some citrus and grass hops. Decent hop flavor to balance the honey and bread from the malt. Neither are all that distinctive, however. Nice enough but could use more punch.
