Tap at Gar Eden. Big passion fruit aroma which reminded me of the 80’s soft drink quatro. Quite nostalgic. Taste varies between the fruitiness and more wheat. It’s quite nice, but not really something I will drink often.

Pleasant pine, tropical nose. Sour fruits taste, malt then lemon juice. Some spices in the aftertaste. Gets a bit too syrupy towards the end.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2013 Bottle from GoodBeer. Opened in Belgium. Very cloudy salmon-orange color, lace. Tart passion fruit nose, orange, lemon, grains, lemon grass. Very fruity flavor, lots of passion fruit, plus grapefruit zest. Tart but not sour, with a very bitter finish. Nice drinking. A bit sweet at the start, but ends up nicely dry, with no residual sugar. Very good—nothing like the last time I had it. This is the rating I put up.
Draught at the Craft Beer Festival in Ichinoseki, Iwate, 2009: 4/2/3/2/6.
Strange thin yellow color, light, thin head. Sweet, passion fruit flavor. Sweet, dry, fruity, funky, Kool-aid like. This is ass. Stick with what you do best, guys!

Bottled. Pours a hazy pale straw color with a scant white head head. Aromas of grapefruit, mango and passion fruit. Light water body with streams of cabonation that explode on the tongue. Taste is much like the aroma, with a crisp, tart finish. None of the overly sweet, chemical-laden overtones of Brick Bambay, which I’ve also regrettably tasted. I’m still not fan of fruit beers, but this one is nice for a change.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled, thanks IslandHaole! Hazy pale yellow. Intense natural juicy passion fruit aroma. Fresh and lightly acidic, light bodied with a hint of bubblegum. Certainly not sweet, making it very refreshing. Extremely well made, other brewers of fruit beer should learn from Iwate Kura.
