Solid Japanese stout that ticks all the obvious boxes. Dense black with a lasting corona. Classic aroma of molten bitter chocolate and mocha. Creamy mouthfeel. At the sweeter end of the stout scale, with more choc flavours and some coffee ashiness. (Bottle courtesy of TimE at Sully’s 2007 Xmas gathering - thanks fellas)

Bottle, cgarvieuk coolbeans party. Dark brown, thin beige head. Nose is full of bitter chocolate, some malt, some espresso. Mouth is chocolate, slightly lactic coating, smoky bacon, lingering. Quite good really.

Bottle due to ladddy chap cgarvie’s pier’s party shack banter. Aroma is roasty and coco malt, hints of smoked malt too. Taste is far more chocolatly, with alot oif roasty bitterness thpough balanced, alright but not me.

Sweet chocolate and some roastyness with an odd vegital quality, very porterish in the nose. Drys out nicely in the mouth with some green hop action, coffee roastyness and cool deep cocoa. Finishes peculiarly bitter but in a balanced way, with grass and dark chocolate. Pleasantly weird.
