The English on the label only says "Caramel Ale," but the Japanese adds "Sweet." This beer was new in Spring 2011.

Bottle from Yamaoka. Big, roaty, caramel and chocolate aroma. Earthy hops, meaty and balanced well. Dark brown with orange and a high head. Sweet caramel and chocolate flavor with dried fruit and earthy, dry hops. Nice bitterness to balance. Rich, thick body. Rather dessert- like but not overly sweet. Rich and tasty, with good balance. Well put together.

Bottled, from Yamaoka Sake Shop, Kyoto. Dark hazelnut brown. Smells like Caramilk chocolate bar. Butter Stout roasted chestnut. Palate feels a little strong but slightly sweet on the lips. But lacking overall intensity. Some bitterness and hopp feel. Overall I enjoy it and I would drink it again but its not really something special as I thought it would be
