Ungstrup (11136), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 27, 2006 A hazy dark amber, almost brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of berries, but also hints of the alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty and at first with strong notes of berries, then notes of wood gains in strength, with a light note of alcohol lying in the back ground, leading to a roasted bitter end. Very nice. omhper (10456), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 5, 2006 Updated: Sep 20, 2006[Bottled] Clear chestnut brown, frothy head. Aroma of fruit, cocoa and peppery alcohol. Sweet with flowery hops, roasty malt and notes of lingonberries plum brandy. The mouthfeel is soft, and the body surprisingly slim. Finishes with grassy bitterness. Well, it’s good, but Jämtland can do even better. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 7, 2006 (Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful, clear reddish mahogany with a nice, creamy, off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt and aroma hops. Medium to full body with notes of roasted malt and a wee, burned edge. Some dried fruit, slightly vinous with the alcohol really shining through. Dry, lightly bitter finish. Quite a refined brew actually. 240806 joergen (6340), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 27, 2006 Bottle at RBESG 2006.
