Pours out in a clear dark reddish brown colour with a thick tan-coloured head. Strong aroma of earth, dark chocolate, caramel, spices and nougat. Full flavour of caramel, sweet licorice, earth and chocolate with a spicy undertone. Full bodied. Bitter finishof chocolate and earty hops and anise. Warming aftertaste. Top notch stuff. Comments: Best before December 2006. And age was not apparent at all. This was a beautiful firm-bodied ale with fully extracted, complex English marries otter malts. In line with Jamtlands’ regular excellence. I just adore that brewery.
