courtesy of Per - very dark brown colour with a little foam; rich and solid biscuity maltiness with notes of raisins and prune underneath; some initial sweetness, full-bodied, creamy mouthfeel and a fair bitterness; long malty aftertaste with notes of wood and prunes - a beautiful and very tasty beer !

Dark amber body with a off-white head. Caramel, dark fruits and hops comes with the aroma. Flavor is hopy and nice round. Some hint of alcohol. Pleasent bitternes in the end.

Bottled. Pours out in a clear dark reddish brown colour with a thick tan-coloured head. Strong aroma of earth, dark chocolate, caramel, spices and nougat. Full flavour of caramel, sweet licorice, earth and chocolate with a spicy undertone. Full bodied. Bitter finishof chocolate and earty hops and anise. Warming aftertaste. Top notch stuff.

Comments: Best before December 2006. And age was not apparent at all. This was a beautiful firm-bodied ale with fully extracted, complex English marries otter malts. In line with Jamtlands’ regular excellence. I just adore that brewery.
