Representing the darker side of Shandy, Jack-OTraveler is an alluring beer illuminated by the tastes of fall. He strikes the perfect balance between bright refreshment and seasonal spice. Jack is brewed with fresh pumpkin, for a delicious, dark hued, Shandyinspired beer.

Draft. Pours hazy amber with a fizzy off white head. Tastes like sweet pumpkin, sweet orange citrus, light spice, and and heavy bready malt. Light body and low/medium carbonation. Smells like spice, orange, malt, and pumpkin pie.

Appearance is light brown, clear, and with a moderate white head. Aroma: Intense cinnamon and nutmeg dominates any malt character Taste: Strong cinnamon and nutmeg with a light squash taste, light caramel malt, and enough bitterness to balance it all. Mouthfeel: medium with a slight creaminess and moderate carbonation. Finish: leaves a slight nutmeg and bread malt flavor on the tongue Comparison to Leinie Harvest Patch Shandy: Traveler aroma more cinnamon and nutmeg, with Leinie more nutmeg and clove. Body is lighter on Leinie and that makes the spicing feel more prominent than Traveler. Traveler has a richer malt, more pumpkin pie like flavor. Leinie is probably better for a longer drinking session, while the rich malt and spicing of Traveler is best suited for a shorter session. I would give Traveler the edge if you’re trying to find the closest thing to a pumpkin pie flavor

12oz bottle, from my local Kroger. Been putting this one off for too long, likely because a pumpkin shandy sounds terrible (but I will try to keep an open mind). Enjoy-by notch is simply on "DEC". So I’m good, right..? Mostly clear orange amber color, with a bigger off-white head, fizzing loudly, and quickly fading back into the glass. A couple small chunks floating in the body. Few bits of bubbly foamy lace left behind by the retracting head. A small amount of head is left behind. Pumpkin spice is definitely evident in the smell, but the nose is straight baked apple pie, which is kind of surprising. Is this supposed to be an apple-type beer? Not bad initially, and it kind of works with the fall spices. The baked apple flavor is a better hold to the spices than the citrus that I was expecting up front... Very mild citrus if any, drinks much more like an apple-flavored ale. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter, kind of a spicy bite, and a dry finish. Light to medium body. Soft, mildly creamy carbonation. Pumpkin spice and apple works better than whatever I was expecting, but overall this is not that fun at all, and not easy-drinking. A challenge to get through; it quickly becomes a chore... Gets worse as I go. More pumpkin gourdy vegetable flavor comes out, which is not fun. Couldn’t finish.

Rated on 10-24-2014 (Draft at Scotty’s Brewhouse in Fort Wayne, IN) The appearance is a very small off-white head that is fully lasting, transparent pale yellow body, no visible carbonation observed, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is very pumpkin, sweet, malt, and spice. Ditto for the flavor. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is light bodied. This beer is very quaffable and gives off a sense of the Fall season. It is not overly pumpkin tasting which is a good thing personally.

Bottle given to me by my brother. Clear amber in color with a medium beige head. Aroma of malt, ginger and cinnamon. Ginger and cinnamon flavor with some maltiness before a light finish.

Yuck! What a mess. Lemon and pumpkin... More like lemon and cinnamon with a plastic after taste. Try Screamin Pumpkin by Griffins Claw or Dogfish Punkin before this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Wheaty aroma has a strong cinnamon overtone and a nice note of pumpkin. It pours a dark orangy Amber with a fairly thick pale buff head. Flavor is even more impressive, pumpkin and connamon with a wheaty undertone and a note of lemonade that complements rather than clashes with other elements of the flavor. Lively texture is fairly firm and sassy, and leaves a fizzy pumpkin and lemon finish. A great fall and holiday season beer.
