Duck Pond is a subtly complex Nut Brown Ale. Various roasted barley malts lend a wide spectrum to this beer ranging from lighter notes of bready, toasty, and nutty to deeper characters such as prune, raisin, chocolate, and coffee. All of these flavors and aromas are wrapped up in a moderate gravity brown ale (at 4.4% ABV) with a clean finish that leaves you searching for another pint.

Sampled from the tap at Winterfest 2015. Pours a clear amber orange with a near white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has a good amount of bread and sweet grains with a touch of nuttiness. Flavor has some sweet grains and nuttiness with a bit of toffee and bread.

Pour on tap at APN 2013, dark reddish brown pour with thin off white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, some nice nutty notes, dark cocoa in there, slight hints of grass, earthy tones as well. Taste is a mix of caramel, toffee, some grass and spice into a bit of nut, cocoa, finishing bitter, dry.

Draft at All Pints North. This is a pretty average brown ale. A little roasted nuttiness to it. Simple, something that will appeal to someone that thinks they donít like dark beers.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Sampled at All Pints North 2013 in Duluth, MN. Hazy amber pour with a frothy head. Bready, some chocolate and nut. Not a bad beer.
