Pint at the 9th Anniversary Extravaganza on 12/5/14. Clear copper pour with a medium off-white head. Aroma of apple, grain and something reminiscent of grape must. Malty flavor with apple and spice character before a bitter finish.

Sample at the brewpub during the 9th Anniversary Extravaganza on 12/05/14. Clear bronze color with a medium thin white head that evaporates steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of apples, malt and spices. Light-bodied with flavors of cinnamon-spiced apples and sweet malt. The finish is sweet with a spiced apple aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draft on the Brewpub side at Jackie-O’s, served in a small taster. Pours a somewhat cloudy burnt orange color with a tiny off-white ring that doesn’t last long. Notes of muddled apple and pear, light cinnamon and ginger spice, leaves, earth, and toasted sugar. Light-medium bodied, with low to moderate carbonation and an earthy, fruity mouthfeel. Not bad for an apple ale, but the least exciting thing I tried on tap at the 9th Anniversary Party.

Draft pour at the source. Pours a clear copper with a thin beige head of foam. The aroma is grain, bread, a little bit of fruit. Lighter grainy taste. Light body. Medium carbonation.

Sample on tap at the brewpub. Mildly hazy yellow brown color, minimal white head. Really nice sweet taste, some honey. Apple as in baked apple pie, with cinnamon. Interesting and tasty
