COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
From their blog: "This week we are brewing a Baklava Braggot brewed with local honey, local black walnuts, organic lemon verbena (grown on Jackie O’s farm), andthe brew will be conditioned on cinnamon sticks. It is being fermented with a blend of our American ale yeast and our Belgian yeast. The beer should come in at about 7.5% to 8%abv. Really looking forward to this brew and had a blast brewing it yesterday."

Sampled repeatedly at EBF in Boston. Dusty amber color. Minimally carbed. Doughy, baked, honey-glazed scent. Tastes of beeswax, caramelized malt, cloves, & a faint, dry woody/nuttiness. Thinner & drier then expected. Solid.

Clear deep gold with a bit of blush. Thin, quickly falling off-white head. Sweet fruity aroma. Faint maraschino cherry and honey. Very tart flavor, almost sour. I don’t know what to make of it. I never tasted a Mead like this, actually I don’t know how many Braggots I’ve had. For now, I’ll pass on having this one again.

Orangish pour, milky white head. Aroma of honey, spices and something odd...vegetal. Flavor is sour, old stone fruit, honey, spice. Infected or just nasty?

Bottle at the Colorado Mead Tasting ’12, courtesy of Armin. Thanks Man! Pour is hazy amber with a light red tint and small white head; good lacing. Lemon peel, honey, a touch of spice, some cinnamon, and potpourri in the aroma. Taste is honey, allspice, a touch earthy, green apples, toffee, and bread with a lightly spicy finish. Medium mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Ok, but something is a bit off with this one.

Pour out of 22 oz bottle, clear orange red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of walnuts, some sugary notes, hints of lemon, touch of interesting spice notes with some slight cinnamon. Taste is a mix of cinnamon, ginger, lemon, hints of earth, slight honey, touch of walnuts, finishing sweet, slightly bitter. Interesting...

2012 Colorado Mead Tasting at Armin’s house. Thanks to Armin! Pours a peachy orange appearance with a small white head and some sediment. Big lemon zesty, grapefruity, apple, honey aroma. Fairly tart, a bit peppery, zesty lemon, apple flavor. Pretty strange but not bad.

Colorado mead tasting 2012 - turbid orange - nose is sweet and very herbal, tea-like - a bit of toasty grain character - apricot - flavor is of a tart Belgian ale with a touch of honey - pretty darn acidic, actually - too much so, and not even the honey balances - almost tastes a little infected, actually - sharp and rough all around - meh.
