3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
5oz sample draft from Daily Growler, UA. Clear amber pour with thin light tan head. Aroma of sweet pumpkin and spice. Tastes focus on pumpkin spice - cinnamon, cardamon the most prominent. Not overly sweet, so ok by me.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks good; a cloudy amberish brown with thin foamy head somewhere between off-white and light beige. Smells solid; pumpkin, brown sugar, and pumpkin pie spices. Tastes like it smells, only not as robust. Smooth on the palate with a fairly full body. A solid pumpkin ale.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a hazy fall orange color with a small khaki head that leaves spots and streaks of lace. Aroma of nutmeg, gingerbread, caramel, cinnamon, and herbs. Flavor of nutmeg, graham cracker, brown sugar, earth, pumpkin, and a long, boozy finish. Surprising punch for 7.6%. Medium-bodied, with modest carbonation and an earthy, warm mouthfeel. Seems like a heavy pumpkin ale but hits the right notes.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
From the September 2012 3R6P gathering. +++ Sampled from a growler this beer poured a caramel-amber color with a small soapy beige head that faded quickly and left good lacing. The aroma was sweetish pumpkin pie, faint caramel and pie crust. The flavor was tangy and woody with notes of nutmeg, bread, a bitter middle followed by faint pie crust and pepper. Medium length dry and vaguely spicy finish. Medium body. Eh.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Growler from pub side. Pours a deep hazy amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is spices and sweet malt with roasty pumpkin. Flavor is rich sweet malt on the front end with a spice note of cinnimon and pumpkin pie spice. Overall this is a nice pumpkin lots of nice spice and clean yeast notes that makes for a very drinkable brew given the alcohol.

On tap at Jackie-Os. Opaque dark orange color. Thin, creamy beige head. Nice, moderate lacing. Really smooth carbonation. Seemingly lighter body. Light dryness. Hearty pumpkin aroma and spice, some discernible alcohol. Light bitter taste. Really good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Growler pours dark amber with dark orange hue and off white head. The aroma is sweet malts and brown sugar with light fall spices. The flavor is pumpkin and malts blended so well with spices on such a smooth medium body. The vanilla notes are subtle but present to help round it out so well.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Had this on the eve of the August 27th JO’s release. Received in a pint glass.
4.0 A: Lightly hazed dark amber color. Two fingers of creamy beige head with decent retention and a small ring of lacing.
3.5 S: Lighter on the spice than I’d prefer, but still nice. This is closer to a regular amber than a "pumpkin beer." Moderately bready with a touch of herbal hoppiness.
3.0 T: A bit underwhelming as a pumpkin beer. Rather, this is a fairly standard amber - light caramel and toffee are the main components. Just a touch of pumpkin spice. Good enough, but not memorable.
3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. I’d like a touch more creaminess.
3.5 D: Worth a try, but I like my pumpkin beers to be bigger on the pumpkin and spice.
