Bottle @ Presidential Suite. Thanks, Chris. Dark amber color pour with an off-white head. Aroma is quite sour and fruity. Some red wine vinegar, cherry, and Jolly Rancher. Lots of apple and lemon. Some caramel, too. Flavor has a subtle nuttiness which is kind of weird with the intense sourness. Lots of acetic and lactic character to this. Fruity cherry and Jolly Rancher. Some carame, oak, and lots of green apple.

Tap sample. Poured a clear reddish brown color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good to excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sour & tart fruit aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sour & sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet & sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout beer.

Bottle - Sour cherry and a bit of oak. Deep ruby with a thin white head. Tart cherry and sour acidity keeps going. Tartness is a bit overwhelming, more cherries please.

GABF 2009. Pours dark yellow with a small, fizzy off-white head, somewhat diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (straw, cookie, caramel), light hop (flowers), average yeast (horse blanket, barnyard, earth, leaves) with notes of cherry, wine, and wood. Medium bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a sour finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and sourness.

Sample from bottle #146/400 at the Jackie Os Staff Bottle Tasting Part 1 on 04/11/2015. The beer pours a dark reddish-brown color with a medium foamy off-white head that diminishes steadily. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tart fruit, oak and malt. Medium-bodied with a vinous oak character and notes of tart cherry, earthy yeast and malt. The finish is moderately sour with a cherry aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Somehow actually tried a jackie os this weekend. And this one was not foul, obviously an intentional sour, leans towards sweet, tannic, berryskin.
