Tap sample. Poured clear dark copper color with an average frothy white head that was lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy sour yeast, citrus, wood and malt aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy complex sour & sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet & sour finish of moderate to long duration. Another solid complex beer.

Sample at the Jackie Os pub (Brewery side) on 8/16/13. Clear amber pour with a thin off-white head. Aroma of tart peach, white grape and some maltiness. Malty and slightly syrupy flavor up front with a tart fruit and white wine finish.

Taster on tap at Jackie-Os. Half hazy orange color. Thin off-white head. Bigger body. Crisp, lighter carbonation. Kind of a heavier, lightly stickier finish. Lots of white grape, some tannin. Light graininess. Little caramel malt. Lightly tart. Some lemon, grapefruit citrus. Light belgian spice in the finish. Bigger body is noticeable, but tart taste is nice. Tried this again the morning after, enjoyed it quite a bit more with a fresher palate, and adjusted scores a little bit.

Draft sample from the brewpub side. Pours a hazy tea color with no head. Notes of lemon, white grapes, oak, sweet and dry malts, mild spice. Light-medium bodied, with a dry mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Subtle funk, good fruity character. Unique saison.

Poured on draft at Jackie-Os. Pours a copper to amber with a white head that dies quickly. The aroma is fruity and mildly tart smelling. Tastes more sweet than sour, but finishes tart and dry.

On draft at Jackie Os. Pours a cloudy yellow-orange with an off-white head. Nose is some nice malt character, some apple, some yeast, and some tart vinegar notes followed by some oak and big chardonnay notes. Flavor is similar- it has the nice light malt, apple, and yeast character of a saison enhanced by the oak and vinous presence of a chardonnay. Light to medium in body and nice overall.

Dogbrick (8907) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 1, 2013
Sample at Jackie Os as part of Ohio Brew Week. Murky honey color with a medium foamy white head that diminishes slowly. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Vinous aroma with notes of oak, yeast and fruit. Medium body with flavors of tart apple, oak, earthy yeast and a bit of spice. The finish is dry with an oaky and fruity aftertaste. Solid beer all around.
