On draft at Jackie O’s. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Nose is some lactic character and some prickly citrus with some wheat behind it. Flavor is similar- wheat, citrus, lemon, lactic, and a clean finish. A nice, light-bodied berliner overall.

pours hazy yellow with a small white cap, little retention. cheese and chlorine, celery, lemon, vinous, mineral and soapy - not the most enticing berliner aroma as you can read. also some nice lactic, bright lemon and white grapes notes. average to moderate carbonation, light body, lightly acidic and clean finish. decent berliner if not for minor but apparent defects.

Pours a really pale yellow with no head. Aroma is really weird with harsh chlorophenols (chlorine notes?) and some tart yellow fruits. Taste is lactic and empty, not much to be felt there for me (or maybe I’m being a little shaked by the awkward aroma). The chlorine flavor/aroma gets a little better over the course of the glass but it was really offputting to me at first. Light bodied with good carbonation. Not so good.

Bottle (22 oz). Shared by mathieuc, thanks! Clear yellow/golden with a small white head and light lacing. Aroma is of wheat, fruits, acidic notes, light tartness and green apples. Taste is of fruits, wheat acidity, light tartness and light soapy notes (not too disturbing). Light body. Low to moderate carbonation. Slightly dry. Ok Berliner Weiss. Not bad, but not one I will remember. Drinkable. A tad bland.

Bottle. Clear gold pour, thin white head. Aroma is lemony, almost chlorine-like, light green apple, light lactic notes. Taste of chlorine (blechhh), quite sour, gets better with every sip but the first ones are pretty harsh. Light palate, medium dryness. O.K.

Bottle thanks to Andrew. Pours a lightly haze golden color. Nose is lacto, lemon peel, sulfur, light wheat. Palate is green, light yeast, some lemon, a medium tartness. Palate is medium dry, and a bit unclean.

brokensail (10530) - Orange County, California, USA - MAY 7, 2013
Thanks to Alex for this bottle. Pours a golden color with a white head. Grassy and lactic aroma, but some sulfur and vegetal notes. Sweet wheat and a touch of popcorn. The flavor is not quite as off as the nose, but still some vegetal notes. Grass, lactic tartness, lemon zest, and some wheat. A light bread sweetness.

22 oz. bottle from DrSilverworm. Thanks again, Chris! Bottle 144/209. Pours a semi-cloudy pale, bright yellow-gold with a small white head. Aroma of Aroma of lemon, grapes, sour mash, wheat, and bright earthy funk throughout. The flavor is the same, with a sneaky level of tartness. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry, tart mouthfeel. Very good beer.

Bottle shared by Markwise, poured a cloudy straw yellow color with aromas of light wheat, lemon rinds, some light lemon, and a touch of barnyard. Flavors were light tart lemons, wheat, and a light acidic aftertaste. Not overly tart, light on the palate, very enjoyable overall.
