Bottle thanks to Jstax. Pours a hazy pale blonde color with a finger of fizzy foam the bubbles out quickly. The nose is tight lime, lemon pith, yogurt and a touch of cheerio malt. On the palate its direct and snappy with great carbonation and a refreshing quenching tartness that has a touch of unripe berry funk mingling with great levels of acidity and sourness. Delicious wish i could buy this by the gallon !

Bottle share at DLD. Tart, funky, yeasty citrus aroma. Hazy straw gold with a moderate white head. Follows the nose - Tart, funky, lactic citrus flavor. Light body, moderate carbonation.

Caterwaul (44) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 25, 2013
Shared with Pixachii. Pours a clear golden yellow color with a thin white disk on top, recedes to lace in seconds. Smells tart and funky. Fruity. Lemon. Wet stone. Wheat. Honey. Tastes tart. Very tart, in fact. Still with the honey and wheat. Very lemony and fruity. Interesting- tastes more like a little lambic than a Berliner, really. Light, fizzy, and extremely drinkable.

Bomber to tulip (shared with the Mrs.; thanks for muling this for me, DrSilverworm!). Batch ’13, bottle #198/204. Looks good; a slightly cloudy yellowish-orange with white lacing that dissipates quickly. Smells and tastes solid; tart, doughy, and a little funky. Nice on the palate. A good example of the style.

Wow - that’s sour! Love the wheat haze. Really nice with a tart salad and a fun pizza.

Tap sample. Poured hazy light yellow color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate wheat and sour citrus aroma. Medium body with a thin texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet & sour flavor with a medium sour & sweet finish of moderate duration. Interesting beer and excellent for style.

Taster on tap at Jackie-O’s 7th. Mostly clear yellow color. No head. Great delicious tart flavor. Very good, at the moment. Perfect beer to bring me back after a heavy night. Light body, good crisp carbonation. Great berliner weiss.

Draft a brewpub. Pours a clear yellow golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is tart citrus, wheat, yeast, lactic acidity. The flavor is tart lemony citrus, wheat, some biscuity malt, lactic acidity with a hint of funk. Easy to drink. I believe this was the second batch.

On tap at brew side pours a very clear extra pale gold. Aroma is tart and light with some fruity funkiness notes of cherry. Flavor is a lot like aroma very tart and clean with a good funk more light fruit. Overall this is a very nice intro to the style I assume this is a well done brew no real off flavors just clean fruity funk.

Received in a 4 oz. taster glass. 3.5 A: Cloudy yellow brown color. Came without a head. 3.0 S: More funk than tartness. Light garbage with a musty basement funk. Subtle, but pleasant. 3.5 T: Lightly tart again with garbage and basement funk. Well balanced, but missing some depth and power. 3.5 M: Light body. Good moderate carbonation. Could be spritzier and creamier, but okay. Super smooth. 3.0 D: It’s tasty, but it falls close to average for the style. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 08-20-2012 23:16:13
