(Growler) Pours a cloudy yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, lemon, grain, grapefruit, light vanilla, and apple. Flavor of lemon, orange, wheat, lacto, and apple.

Light amber. Slightly toasty, biscuity aroma with a tiny hint of yeasty acidity. A little bit more strongly malty than the usual, with a gentle, balanced acidity. Good - I’m not convinced the malts are out of line with the style (historically).

Tap sample. Poured hazy light yellow color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate wheat and sour citrus aroma. Medium body with a thin texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet & sour flavor with a medium sour & sweet finish of moderate duration. Interesting beer and excellent for style.

Bottle... More acidic, fruity and bright than my sample of a previous batch. Less grainy and just much better overall. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

Original rating
Bottle… CCB’s Hunahpu’s Day 2012… Cloudy amber ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head that lasts forever. The nose is moderately grainy and lightly acidic. Light-bodied and very creamy with soft carbonation. The flavor is bready, lightly tart, mildly bitter and offers a hint of apricot. Tangy, bready finish. Bottle courtesy of JW!

Growler via a trade. Pours with a hazy golden-yellow body with a small white head. Aromas smell a bit of chlorine (off-putting), beyond that, wheat, apple, perfume, honey, grainy. Lacto and some esters. Flavors are strongly lactic, some apple juice, chemicals (chlorine), estery, and a bit grainy. Some mineral character (but that could also be the chlorine note I’m getting). Lively bubbles, fizzy, dry. Still enjoyable.

Thanks to Alex for this bottle. Pours a golden color with a white head. Grassy and lactic aroma, but some sulfur and vegetal notes. Sweet wheat and a touch of popcorn. The flavor is not quite as off as the nose, but still some vegetal notes. Grass, lactic tartness, lemon zest, and some wheat. A light bread sweetness.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a hazy yellow color with a medium white head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus and wheat. Light body with a lemony character and notes of wheat and yeast. The finish is tart with a zesty citrus aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at Jackie O’s One Funky Afternoon. Served in a tulip. Pours a nice semi-cloudy light apricot color with a good, thin white head. Little bit of lacing. The nose brings forward a nice amount of lactic character with just a touch of light funk lingering in the background. Nice tartness comes through along with a smidgen of grain. Everything is light and airy--nothing is overwhelming and all is in great balance. Moderate carbonation and a beautifully dry and lactic finish. Well done.

22 oz. bottle from DrSilverworm. Thanks again, Chris! Bottle 144/209. Pours a semi-cloudy pale, bright yellow-gold with a small white head. Aroma of Aroma of lemon, grapes, sour mash, wheat, and bright earthy funk throughout. The flavor is the same, with a sneaky level of tartness. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry, tart mouthfeel. Very good beer.
